Unclehollywood Posted 22March, 2017 Report Share Posted 22March, 2017 Just recently collected my 996 S2 and am very pleased, The front tyres are OE P-Zeros dated 27-03 and rears are 2010 I know they have a limited life. What should I expect before pushing hard? The front wheels seem to activate ABS quite easily even on a dry surface.I would appreciate any feedback.H.
Joshstix Posted 22March, 2017 Report Share Posted 22March, 2017 You should expect to replace them before pushing the car hard.
Mike737 Posted 22March, 2017 Report Share Posted 22March, 2017 Lots of options out there for you. Are you looking for something that will be long lasting or super grippy or r-spec/track tyres?
Avon Posted 22March, 2017 Report Share Posted 22March, 2017 You should expect a festival of understeer in the wet. Old Pzeros are noisy, hard and generally untrustworthy in my experience.Brigdestone S02 or Michelin Pilot Sports are popular replacements depending on your price / performance preference. Unclehollywood Posted 22March, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 22March, 2017 Mike737 Only for road use, Good Wear/Grip (A Trade-off I know), Wet Weather. Value, rather than just price is the consideration. H

LeeM Posted 23March, 2017 Report Share Posted 23March, 2017 I can't advise any tyre recommendations (except that you should change the current ones), and excuse my hijack here, yet that's a very nice car mate! Love the Fuchs on it

Unclehollywood Posted 24March, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 24March, 2017 LoL, I think I love the wheels more than the car, (If at all possible) After following the marque for over 40yrs I bought these for myself for xmas before I even bought the car. When they were released I knew I just had to have them.
