js911993 Posted 23November, 2017 Report Share Posted 23November, 2017 This one has been out there for a very long time with up & down advertised pricing, strange that its not at a Porsche dealership... https://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Porsche-Boxster-2016/OAG-AD-14835135/?Cr=

vin Posted 24November, 2017 Report Share Posted 24November, 2017 yup. very interesting indeed. Was listed at $239,000 and "sold" ... then relisted by same seller at $249,000 and "sold" again within a day. Is that to artificially bump up the recorded price on Carsales? hmmm... js911993
js911993 Posted 24November, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 24November, 2017 yeah i noticed that too, all sounds a bit weird to me... ....but bring on the 718 Spyder anyway... https://www.carthrottle.com/post/a-porsche-718-boxster-spyder-is-on-the-way-with-the-gt3s-40-flat-six/

981Spy Posted 10February, 2018 Report Share Posted 10February, 2018 Price is one thing but the ad mentions it has a "gt3 front end"...now thats dreaming

DJM Posted 26February, 2018 Report Share Posted 26February, 2018 Less of them delivered than GT4 - is that why prices are 30-40k higher? Same drivetrain but without all the trick suspension bits of GT4?
sleazius Posted 26February, 2018 Report Share Posted 26February, 2018 25 delivered vs ~180. Also the best/fastest manual 981 if you're into top down motoring. There are plenty of reasons I spose. Not sure how many actually sell at the current money asked though.
edgy Posted 26February, 2018 Report Share Posted 26February, 2018 Cmon, less = more
cafe_racer Posted 27February, 2018 Report Share Posted 27February, 2018 I'll be amazed if they move at this price, a 987 spyder just sold for $80kish Must all be hedging bets waiting for the 718 spyder.
js911993 Posted 9March, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 9March, 2018 And another two on the market...
IXELEVEN Posted 10March, 2018 Report Share Posted 10March, 2018 With all the signs pointing towards a detuned GT3 4.0 litre motor earmarked for the 718 Spyder and the likelyhood that the one after that will not be naturally aspirated, I would certainly not be buying a 981 Spyder for any sort of potential financial gain down the track. The 718 Spyder will be the one for that. Stunning cars though.
js911993 Posted 10March, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 10March, 2018 Yeah rumors of a 718 4.0Lt is continuing to gain momentum..... Ive not heard the model after that being forced induction, where did you here that? I still think a 981 Spyder will always hold reasonable value due to the rarity of them and a lovely car to drive that sounds great..... I guess it come down to buyer ambition, profit in the mind or passion in the heart; i choose the later of the two
