npvpositive Posted 30January, 2013 Report Share Posted 30January, 2013 Since a Singer is out of reach (they start at US$350k) I'd go for two cars: Restored matching numbers 1972-1973 911E. Budget: $110k-$120k Narrow body, manual 993: Budget: about $80k And I'm in business!

withers Posted 2February, 2013 Report Share Posted 2February, 2013 After sitting in a 981 yesterday, I think I'd like a 981 just the base model and I'd spend the leftover on a 911! Best of both worlds I reckon.. the 981 is just LOVELY! Lovely to look at and lovely to be in

michel Posted 28February, 2013 Report Share Posted 28February, 2013 I have been in conversation with Dean Polopoulos about a 2.4 Motor and the price shipped to Australia is actually quite tempting. I like the idea of a 912 with a Polo in it, total project would come in under 80k..........I'd never see that money again but I suspect I'd never sell it either. He even offerred to ship the motor in a car for me as he had one sitting there if I was interested!! Yep, the 996 GT3's are now coming into affordable pricing. Theres a Yellow 'Club Sport' one that I'd quite like..............Ooooooh the noise. What a Noise. Out of interest what was the asking price of said motor and car?
