Guest vas930 Posted 10August, 2012 Report Share Posted 10August, 2012 Looking at the porsches for sale sent me off into dream land again. If you had a $200k budget to spend on any Porsche, what would you do ? Would you spend it on what you have ? Buy something for $200k like a second hand GT3 ? Or build something you always wanted ? The budget is $200k max. Must be spent on a Porsche of any kind.
Guest Nick987 Posted 10August, 2012 Report Share Posted 10August, 2012 And has to be for sale now...in CS's or on the web or in some upcoming auction, not some pipe dream buy... Or have to spec upgrades to your buy... Quote prices for parts and build etc... Ok ok I'm in...gimme a mo...
T-Man Posted 10August, 2012 Report Share Posted 10August, 2012 Damn!!!!!!! Carrera GT is out of the price scale. that was an immediate no-brainer! Now I have to think about it.
Chris-p Posted 10August, 2012 Report Share Posted 10August, 2012 Either 997 turbo with a bit of change to add some super cool wheels and go faster goodies or series 1 997 GT3 same re wheels.... C
PeterP Posted 10August, 2012 Report Share Posted 10August, 2012 Agree with Chris 997 Turbo.......... :D
Guest vas930 Posted 11August, 2012 Report Share Posted 11August, 2012 997 turbo does look good at that price. Plenty around $160 1o $180k with low ks. I would strip it out and add a cage and wheels. Any cash left over may go to some light weight body parts. A 997 turbo -150kg would be a fast car. 996 GT2 is also in the game at that price. SteveF Posted 22August, 2012 Report Share Posted 22August, 2012 Theo, I will take one of those with my $200K. Very nice. Love the classic look. Aren't they made by a company in the US which does recreations of classic Porsches with modern technology?

T-Man Posted 25October, 2012 Report Share Posted 25October, 2012 Way faster than I expected. Respect James, amazing car. Ditto James. The 996 TT has been regularly referred to as a "sleeper" and amazing bang for your buck. You know I'm gonna strap myself into your passenger seat on a SMT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
