Importing from the UK

I'm looking to import a pre 90's 911 from the UK under the 25 year rule. I'm not having a lot of traction reaching out directly to dealers/individuals so wondering who are the best buying agents in the UK that offer a turn key service?

ideally they can facilitate it all - inspection, purchase and shipping

cheers!

If you cant carefully inspect the car yourself -DO NOT DO THIS.

You cannot blindly trust anyone in UK classic car scene whom you dont already  know firsthand.

Its better to pay for a trip to UK and source your car. It works out cheaper too, can you imagine how much you would pay to rebuild a rusty damaged 993 in Australia after it gets here?

Buy yourself an air ticket and go on a buying spree, otherwise I can see a lot of heart-ache. Find it, buy it, drive it, do what ever you need to do for shipping etc drive it to a shipping company, fly home and wait. Every dollar you spend now could be multiplied x X if there is a problem.

I was looking for that type of service myself, it exists but you’ll have to dig…

Could pay to speak to your local specialist, see if they can connect you with a broker they can vouch for in the UK?

Finding the right car and buying is the hard bit, shipping is the easy part.

I spoke with a guy at the local servo on the weekend who had just brought in a 993 from the UK.  The car looked pretty good too.  I mentioned PFA to him as he also has a 928 for sale.  Pretty certain his name was Aaron.  Aaron if you have joined up maybe you could provide comment as you have just been through this whole importing from the UK process.

If I see him again (he is a local) I will ask him to provide comment

Phil
