993 Carrera: smoky exhaust on starting engine?

When these cars sit, oil from the tank slowly seeps back into the engine and tends to pool oil at the bottom of the cylinders. This oil sometimes will seep past the rings and provide a little two-stroke crop dusting vision behind you as you start her up. If the smoke clears after a few seconds of running, I wouldnt worry too much about it.

A 911 that doesnt smoke some is merely out of oilsmile.gif

from a 993 rennlister.

I've notice if I haven't driven the 993 for a week, on starting the engine there's alot of smoky exhaust for about five seconds

Car is driving fine, no issues

Whats the cause of this smoky exhaust?

how many km has the motor travelled?
