DJM Posted 1October, 2015 Report Share Posted 1October, 2015 Don't let logic get in the way of an attempted grab for cash. Sometimes it's a fair ground - everyone wins a prize. But I highly doubt Porsche will throw money at it to get it to go away. They should cop the legal bills to mount a strong case and win on principle so other seagulls don't try it on with Porsche or others.
Coastr Posted 1October, 2015 Report Share Posted 1October, 2015 If you read that Ferrari chat thread Porsche already paid into a settlement for a race track incident that had virtually nothing to do with the car being driven.the issue is that companies keep paying Danegeld to these lawyers and it just makes them stronger. ANF Posted 27October, 2016 Report Share Posted 27October, 2016 Just reading an update on this, Porsche cleared although Paul Walker's daughter still got $10mil!! From the estate of Roger Rodas!! Total BS!!A story about what some think caused it (and may well be true!) - an interesting and worthwhile read http://www.thedrive.com/opinion/5189/the-truth-behind-what-caused-paul-walkers-fatal-crash?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_1193927http://www.thedrive.com/a-list/2935/daughter-of-paul-walker-awarded-10m-settlement http://www.thedrive.com/news/2893/porsche-cleared-of-wrongdoing-in-paul-walker-crash-case?iid=sr-link1

Lucky Phil Posted 27October, 2016 Report Share Posted 27October, 2016 Unrelated to Meadow's claim against Porsche but along a similar line,I saw on the news last night that Lawyers are representing a woman suing Crown Casino because she lost all her money playing slot machines and because the machines are "rigged" not to pay out but keep you interested and she as a result just kept playing them and lost all her money, this is somehow Crown Casino's fault not hers.Give me a break........Not just lawyers in America they live here too.Isn't the fact that she is now gambling on the fact that her lawyers will some how win her some money saying that she still has a gambling problem? ANF Posted 27October, 2016 Report Share Posted 27October, 2016 I believe there is a set % of how much overall each machine has to payout and this is closely monitored and checked - I think some govt dept, so not sure how the hell they are going to get anywhere with that claim!!How about taking responsibility for your own actions?!!!! FFS!
LeeM Posted 27October, 2016 Report Share Posted 27October, 2016 I read each machine keeps 88% of whatever is put in it. The woman suing Crown isn't after money though apparently. It's mainly just to expose them for 'profiteering'. Yeah right! I've no sympathy for anyone that loses money when gambling. Your fault, noone to blame but yaself, sucked in, deal with it
