I will check all my PCV circuit photos see if I can find it on a track. Might even have a track photo of it for you.

Rego doesn't ring any bells though. Not that that means much.

On a different topic altogether for those interested, there have been a lot of news choppers going over the new frankston bypass today and from my back yard, I can hear heaps of activity happening. Could it be getting opened this weekend? Yahoo, lets hope so.

If there is a fork in the road with two choices.

And you do not know which choice to take.

Management Theory says flip a coin to make that choice and then follow that path. If that path is not right, then at least you now know, and now you go down the other path :)

I've felt disappointment in my choice due to some issues I suppose and keep wondering 'what if'??? That is the only way to answer your question.

Hi Awit, I have seen your posts on here going way back to when you were trying to decide between an 80's air cooled or a new water cooled Boxster or 996 etc etc.. Your posts and questions helped me answer my very same dilemma.

Is that Black 986s in your first post for sale? If so what are the details on it, kms etc? It looks like it has the higher spec wheels on it at least (you don't have to disclose the location of course!!)

I recently picked up an 04 986s from Melbourne. I simply paid for the LN IMS upgrade to be done before I took the car home and all I can say is that I have not looked back nor have I had any 2nd thoughts.

If the car you bought instead is not doing it for you then get rid of it and go with your gut! The Boxster definitely feels like a terrific entry point into Porsche ownership :)

I'm going along tonight to the car park gathering. At this point I want to meet everyone, learn about their cars and just take my time with my next steps.

I'm pleased all the Q I asked helped others. Funny how I asked these Q and then screwed up with what I bought.

I really do feel a bit foolish to be honest m

Awit,

Don't feel foolish, we have all been there i would hazard to suggest. You obviously haven't bonded with your current car, you can't get away from it. Time to move on, find the right P car & jump right in. Lifes too short to wonder what if.

As 2010911C4 said....we have all been in the situation where we make a choice and quickly feel like the other was more appealing...hits the spot ... Makes you excited...etc - it's a terrible feeling as you feel angry that you have spent considerable money yet have feelings for something else....sort off. It's gut wrenching at times - you are happy with your purchase, or so you feel like you keep justifying to yourself. Then the feeling returns.....

I've been there with motor bikes, cycles and even a house...I've learnt one thing, bite the bullet and get what you want.

It's got a PCV sticker in the windscreen and a extinguisher mounted in the passenger footwell. It also appears to have been lowered judging by how it rides. The car is lovely.. and seems to have been very well cared for.

Sorry can't help at the moment, all my motorsport stuff is stored on a different storage bank which I haven't got hooked up at the moment. I will put it on my list of things to do though.

No worries Niko. Its really not that important. I was researching it and got a bit obsessive about my research.. and I don't want to buy the car. So I'm just being weird, ignore me.

So for those that I didnt talk to last night. I'm feeling much more comfortable with the SLK. I've had it checked out by an independant specialist (recommended to me by a very very good friend) they've gone over the car, replaced the no 1 injection coil and the car seems to be running much better. No other error codes. So I think (touch wood) I might be on the right path to reliability. This means, I feel comfortable offering the car up for private sale. I can have a clear conscience!
