Fabspeed pre-muff

Had SSIs, fabspeed and monty on my 76 3.0 and it sounded eargasmic

They actually do a cat too which looks much the same and is about $500. Its worth paying for over the pre-muff I reckon.

I'd think twice before purchasing Fabspeed, check this out.

Monty gives  a big dirty burble (at idle). You will get rude glances from Certain Types of People  B) Whatever you do , don't let on you are (horror) bypassing the cat.

if you get busted with no cat your screwed big time, its not worth it for the 1hp gain.. just put a high flow cat.

Does this only apply to 1986 (unleaded introduced in Aus) and newer vehicles?

correct 86 and newer need a cat. 85 and earlier never had one from the factory hence no need

big big risk running no cat in a car that is required to have one, and these days people who modify there cars are the biggest criminals out there

Have you played it like a didgeridoo yet?

Yeah I did try but I couldn't get the breathing right.

Finished the install 23:30 last night and had to fire it up......amazing sound!! Not to loud at idle but as Tazzie said 'dirty low burble'. With this rain band across Qld at the moment I can't get out for a test drive.

The old rusty nuts were no match for my new mapp/oxy torch. 30sec heat had them cherry red and they came off easily. I've replaced the bolts with 304 stainless and double brass nuts.

Damn weather!!!
