Russ Posted 23October, 2014 Report Share Posted 23October, 2014 Why people had the fascination for Indian guards is the $64 question. And what was with all the tartan fabrics? Was Niko behind that? hey whoa there! nothing wrong with tartan

Russ Posted 23October, 2014 Report Share Posted 23October, 2014 It's black watch tartan. I'm trying to decide between these to recover my seats (i don't like the feeling of real wool) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131065305409 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121209670082 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261628444841
tazzieman Posted 23October, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 23October, 2014 Peter Gregg was a tartan man in the famous 935/79 (the thread is now a little derailed) http://www.pbase.com/bernds_porsche_935s/image/54192797 PS just don't tartan the door cards also , too much at least we're back to red theme now

tazzieman Posted 24October, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 24October, 2014 My son liked it (guards red) so much he came home tonight with a brand new Toyo 86. He went the long and winding road home and reports it drives like a 944. Which is good. Tomorrow we are taking a 4hr drive And back on Sunday. These are very nice cars , which is high praise , simply because I don't like most modern cars. This has been very nicely styled and what's not to like about a flat 4 in our modern world? G5032 Posted 26October, 2014 Report Share Posted 26October, 2014 All my previous comments about not really liking guards red are null and void. I absolutely loved the 2 Red SC's at Motorclassica today, especially the track focused car (Weissach sport)...they looked brilliant in the flesh...I have to agree now that the colour really suit the impact bumper models... asgraham Posted 14November, 2014 Report Share Posted 14November, 2014 To be honest I wasn't much of a red car fan either. But that all changed two weeks ago when I collected the 964. It's the first real red car I have owned (also have an ignition orange VZ SS Thunder Ute) but the red is rapidly growing on me. Especially with the three layers of wax I have put on it..the colour truly shines.
