From memory last meet we has 15 confirm and 22 turned up even though it was pissing with rain. Still a few weeks to go so spread the word and pray for good weather. BJM has suggested taking the road to Wollombi & onto Broke as the drive. As there is now over 20 of us I suggest someone recommend a place to stop for lunch - ideally a decent winery. No idea myself so any recommendations welcome. Last time I did this kind of route I completely lost track of time and realized after my second glass of Chardy I was still 2hrs from Sydney (the 930 proved itself that day). Anyway - point being might be good to find somewhere on the drive back that allows everyone a chance of making it back early afternoon. As the Hunter Valley is my backyard so to speak and judging on past performances I may be able to suggest a few places for lunch. There are a few places with decent size car parks (Leogate springs to mind) and with some prior notice, I'm sure that a pre-prepared menu could be sorted. Personally I prefer to avoid the 'bigger commercial' places. We could have had a repeat of last time..Weather looking much better for next weekend A group of us will be heading off from Queens Street Woolahra at 6.45 if anyone want to join us. Other than that we will aim to meet at around 7.30 at the Brookyln Tuckshop as we did last time to get your coffee fix.
