I'm sure they'll be pestering you and Jason to centre-piece your cars at the display...

 ?

I've been waiting for PCQ to phone me.

Maybe they will be planning a separate display for the front engine transaxle cars.

Out west somewhere.

Oh Rob, c'mon, family is family.  Even the Red-headed cousin deserves a corn cob at Thanksgiving.

Depends where the corn cob is applied ?

Gentlemen

There is lots of "Secure" parking very nearby & at a reasonable cost for a couple hours when booked on line.

The Mecure Hotel, which is about 200 meters from Reddacliff Place cost $13, but will need to be booked on line.

The issue it seems will be getting into Brisbane for @bear924 as I know he has a long drive just to get started. I'm about 1.5 hours to get in but don't mind a very early start. Your welcome to stay at my place Friday night for the shorter drive in. But bring your own duct tape.

Anyone else who lives out in WoopWoop? @Port 911 what your plan for meeting up?

We haven't discussed our route south yet, but what is the quickest escape route out of town. Once we sort this out we can start discussing twisty route details and a lunch stop.

We could book a hotel room for Friday night, get Free parking and discuss the finer points of P car culture.

I'm about 3 hours from Brisbane. I can leave early as required. What time are we thinking of departing Brisbane?

"PFA'rs would depart say at 10:00am for Lennox Head. This gives the PFA'rs about one & half hours to lust & coffee up."

Just need a local to suggest the quickest way out of town.

Bear, you can stay at my place Friday night - just off the Warrego at Barellan Point...

Deciding the route south is the priority - all else stems from that - so how about it, Brian?

Anyone fixated on going into Brisbane Saturday morning? Show of hands please.

Not fussed - spoiled by several years of C&C - same goes for Macleans Bridge...

Thoughts... advances?

Don't know what the roads are like, but if you turn left at Nimbin, the roads look fairly interesting...

  • 2 weeks later...

The time has come

The Walrus said

To talk of many things…

Of meeting time - and where to meet - and leaving time

And how to go - avoiding plod – and double demerit stings

But having fun – with no dirt roads – or muddy grime

To hurt our pristine wings

But lots of lovely curves

To show our steeds’ finesse

So how about it FEPPS’ers

Let’s nail a route!

I vote for: https://goo.gl/maps/yik3Z73EDy52

because: more km, less traffic, less visited, haven't been to some of that...

Gents just be cautious of the road quality on Clarence way (Bodwina etc).  When on google, jump on the road with the little man on a few spots, doest look that flash.

Now the road from Tentafield to Casino was one of the best I did a few years back (sydney to brisname)

How does 10am at Beaudesert sound to everyone?  Gives me a departure time of 6:30ish.

or, if you wanted to go Tenterfield to Casio we could meet at Warwick at 10am (or 11 if that's better for Brian)

Looking very forward to the drive !!

Thanks for that, looks a lot like some of the Lions Loop road, some caution required.  On the plus side, probably not too heavily travelled...
