Interestingly it looks totally stock, not at all what MW normally espouses....

 

The Turbo looks too original to mess with.  MW usually starts with a "restorer" long nose, not one you'd want to keep as is.

Yeh you did get me.. I was closely looking for them the 2nd time I watched it....  hook line n sinker!

 

Thats  a good point made above, the turbo does look original!

If you read through the lengthy magnus pelican thread, it's a very original 76 turbo carrera

Somewhere in that giant thread is a description of the turbo spec but I can't be bothered to dig it out.  He also has a matching silver 3.0 carrera.

I don't like the look of those hoosier slicks he put on the back.

 

I can't even image what that is like on an early turbo in the wet.

 

I know it never rains in LA, but when it does, 8 months of grease and oil gets to the surface and it is as slick as anything.  One drizzly afternoon and the crashes are in the hundreds...
