MB911 Posted 11July, 2013 Report Share Posted 11July, 2013 I read once that Jerry Seinfeld bough the last air cooled 911 (993) ever produced by Porsche, picked it up off the production line. Apparently he is a massive 911 collector???

hugh Posted 12July, 2013 Report Share Posted 12July, 2013 I read once that Jerry Seinfeld bough the last air cooled 911 (993) ever produced by Porsche, picked it up off the production line. Apparently he is a massive 911 collector??? He is a massive Porsche collector in general, from 911's to 917 - he has owned (and still owns) a heap of them. No better way to spend your hard earned in my opinion.

Harvs11 Posted 12July, 2013 Report Share Posted 12July, 2013 Love the car, pity about Seth Myers...what a bore! I just watched the episode with David Letterman. Now he's someone you could have a few beers and trade stories with.
cyberpunky Posted 12July, 2013 Report Share Posted 12July, 2013 If you see an early episode of Seinfeld he has a great picture of an airborne Porsche on the wall. It's a very cool pic and once I noticed it I can't help but look at it(like a dead pixel on an LCD screen lol) when it is in shot.

Cal Posted 17July, 2013 Report Share Posted 17July, 2013 I read once that Jerry Seinfeld bough the last air cooled 911 (993) ever produced by Porsche, picked it up off the production line. Apparently he is a massive 911 collector??? He also owns one of the first, a 64 model. I was at Pebble Beach in 1998 and he had the 2 cars side by side. http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/03/28/no-funny-stuff-here-porsche-911-then-and-now/
Russ Posted 17July, 2013 Report Share Posted 17July, 2013 I've seen a picture in a magazine a few years ago of him getting in a 908 at a show (apparently he was testing it out) and there used to be a site called 'no substitute' that had a record of his collection, I think he's up to 46 cars. he's in the '100 Porsches and me' DVD with a few too http://youtu.be/c5JbEVaoNgQ I like him, he's a car guy
CarreraG50 Posted 18July, 2013 Report Share Posted 18July, 2013 Just happened to catch part of a Seinfeld ep last night, Jerry sits in his couch and pick's up a copy of Excellence magazine . Also dont know if this is just an urban legend, but apparently every ep of Seinfeld has Superman and a Porsche in it. (Superman is on his fridge, and as previously mentioned picture on his wall which changed from a 911 to a speedster to a RSK (i think)). As RussR says he IS a car guy......... In case your unaware of Excellence http://www.excellence-mag.com/issues/
