Russ Posted 28July, 2013 Report Share Posted 28July, 2013 I couldn't help but sing the Flintstones theme song in my head An interesting find though, I wonder what it adds to the value being the first RHD

Simonoz Posted 28July, 2013 Report Share Posted 28July, 2013 If you had the skills, and the time, how could you go wrong given the enormous money paid for less significant 911's. Start the with worst base, do your best, and end up with a VERY significant 911 worth a gazillion to someone. Im quite amazed its even for sale, as there are so many UK 911 restorers in the game. Perhaps they are hoping the factory buy it back? I hope the factory do buy it, as it would be a wonderful centrepiece in the museum.
tazzieman Posted 28July, 2013 Report Share Posted 28July, 2013 The owner's selling his GT3 RS to pay for the resto (or a % of it). Big nads Wonder what donor car will have to die to save this ol 911?

cyberpunky Posted 9August, 2013 Report Share Posted 9August, 2013 It may not be the first RHD as it is just the first RHD imported into the UK. Still significant but hate to pay a fortune only to have the actual first RHD appear form a barn some where. Maybe first in UK means the first ever ? JustJames Posted 27September, 2013 Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 If the key fob can be saved, that might be a good place to start the rebuild from.
T-Man Posted 27September, 2013 Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 Wow. What percentage of the original metal work needs to be salvaged for the car to realistically maintain its identity? If its more than 15% then this guy could be in trouble.
Rossnall Posted 27September, 2013 Report Share Posted 27September, 2013 If I had the money, I'd be considering sending it to Porsche Classic in Germany.
