Favourite places to eat around town??

Recommended Posts

Raj On Taj - Unley Road Parkside (5 minutes from Adelaide CBD).  Great Indian food at great prices.  The service is good as well.

For authentic Vietnamese food, Pho Lin on Bagsters Road Salisbury North.  Small, cheap, and the food is really good.  Especially the  Combination Pork with Broken Rice.  This was the Friday lunch haunt at my last long term work placement.

Morning coffees on the way to work - currently Bici Café on Hutt Street Adelaide.

We have so many great food places in Adelaide.

Melbourne - Mamasitas and Chin Chin (probably my 2 favourite restaurants ever)

Sydney - Mojos, Meat & Wine Co (boozy lunch), Lowenbrau, Nazimi Japanese, Rosso Pomodoro (best pizza ever) and the East Village in Balmain. Nothing compares to mum's lasagne though :)

For anyone growing up in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, nothing beats a dirty Souva from Ulysses on High st Northcote on the way home at 3am... Alternatively Danny's burgers on St George's rd Fitzroy... Lol...

But seriously best coffee in Melboure.. DOC Carlton Espresso Bar on lygon st bar none !!

now you're talking!

Victoria Yeeros in Marrickville would be the Sydney equivalent I guess. It's my favourite at least...esp the proper old school chips.

Being vegetarian, my faves are a little different....Shakahari in Carlton or Veggie Bar in Brunswick are great for a vego feed.  But if I miss eating anywhere, it'd be Donovans in St Kilda.  Damn good food there but limited options for me now!

Vietnamese pork roll from Bun Bun Bakery Springvale Rd, Springvale. Quick, delicious, crisp bread roll, packed with pate, pork, crunchy salad, coriander and chilli all for about $4. I'd happily pay $15!

Eye fillet steak from Arco in M1 industrial estate in Dandenong south (strange but true) - haven't found a better steak yet and 2 minute walk from my office. Rockpool didn't measure up at 3 times the price.
