Pork Chops Posted 25October, 2016 Report Share Posted 25October, 2016 Seeing as they stand out from the silver centre. Clearly the trick is to make it durable so they survived being twisted.
Rob Posted 25October, 2016 Report Share Posted 25October, 2016 Bead blast them silver, then they won't stand out...And - only use a 6 point, not a 12 point socket when removing/replacing - and no rattle guns!
sandy468 Posted 25October, 2016 Report Share Posted 25October, 2016 Powdercaoting would be the way to go?.... Or this
P-Kay Posted 26October, 2016 Report Share Posted 26October, 2016 I'm pretty sure they are anodised from factory. No idea on cost for re-plating them as you may want to consider a new set, or as been stated sandblast, clear coat and they will blend nicely. Decisions, decisions....... ruby82sc Posted 26October, 2016 Report Share Posted 26October, 2016 I had a set or 2 re anodised in SEQ, it was a disaster. They had a poor finish which chipped even with the use of a soft socket
Pork Chops Posted 26October, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 26October, 2016 Looks like new, and a soft socket is the way to go. Plus strict instructions for the workshop not to use a rattle gun on them...Thanks for the constructive replies, and the funny ones too. Can you please post this in Tom's key thread.
