Putting it out there ... 1973 911E

Recommended Posts

I'm putting my 1973 911E on the market.

9.5 out of 10 car.

Beige Grey.

Matching numbers, LHD German delivered but lived much of its life in California.  Loads of history comes with the car.

Full repaint back to metal (car had had paint previously that was the wrong shade).  Won't see better.

Factory sunroof, full brown leather interior, RS 85 litre plastic tank (all factory fitted options).  Original Frankfurt radio still in car

Original books.

Have offloaded the 2.7 Carrera to the US and this one might follow it over there unless someone here is in the market.

Let me know if you have any interest.

Price in the 2's based on what my research has shown.

PM me and I'll send pics.

Not a distress sale (selling to make room for another car that may be imminent) so if it doesn't make the money, its stays and my wife and kids will be happy.

You have quite a stash....

Thanks.

Had a surreal conversation with my wife over the car.

Told her that I was looking to off load it.

Stare.

Silence.

”Why?”

Me ... thinking “WTF, I thought she’d be happy to offload one ...”

She: “You can’t, I love that car.  The boys love that car”

Me: “erm, OK ...

She: “Sell one of the other ones”.

Fark.  Its took me weeks to pick that one to cut loose.

Just in case she maintains her position, anyone in the market for a 356B T5 Ratrod?

Ha - full of surprises.  I had a similar conversation recently with my wife about my Defender (which she didn't want at all when I picked it up)....and yet when I suggested swapping it out for something a little softer...got a similar response.  So it lives on..

"Hey Rocky, watch me stop a forum discussion in its tracks"

Asking $245,000.

They're not making any more ...

You already stated the price by saying in the 2s... good luck, looks like what these are worth now

It’s been 31 years with her so yep, she stays!

Copped and earful from my 8yo this afternoon about it.

I said I’d make a profit selling it.  He asked how much?  I told him.

Thought about it for a minute ...

”You still can’t sell it Dad”

He's done the math.  Worth plenty more for him if he plays the long game.

Sven whats moving in to the vacant space in the garage?  A pre A 356 Continental or a GT2 RS?  Cannot wait to find out.  I just love that Green Pre A 356 at Duttons it's "Special" but seeing a new GT2RS in the early morning Tecoma misty air, pre SMT would even more "Special".  Time to move on the 991 GT3RS and get one I think. Silver with grey stripes and red interior is the new Lava Orange I hear.

356B is the least desirable of all 356's .... rat rod probably means non matching and missing most correct parts .... $50K? ;)

OK, so we’ve got to chassis .... let me thing about what I’d ask k for the interior and the running gear ?

I think it’s around the 125 mark but it’s a very personal thing for any buyer as they won’t appeal to all
