You guys are suggesting it's not sold cos the kid is on the car.

I think by the reactions here that it may be partly to blame. Some people are extremely anal about their cars... My response was that I would look at it, but it would be after others

Update: 'I still haven't found what I'm looking for'

My 9871.1 Cayman S is now with it's new owner and I have an empty garage :Sweating: so if anyone knows of a 987.2 Cayman S, Cayman R or a 997 Carrera S preferably with a manual transmission that is going to become available I'd love to hear from you.

I'm considering selling my 981 GT4 ( Guards Red, 11,000km, clubsport option with LW buckets) in the near future, though it maybe not exactly what you are looking for....

Stephen a GT4 is ultimately what I’m after especially in Guards Red, just think it will be out of reach for me financially at the moment but feel free to PM me 😉

Whilst it is not a Cayman R it is the Roofless version for want of a better term.

Rare and collectable definitely not a daily driver but pretty special.

Beautiful looking car but I've never been a fan of convertibles

If it was for sale privately I would have arranged a PPI and bought it 3 weeks ago 😒

Yeah I don't know much about these, perhaps they are bullet proof, but it feels like a gamble buying it with no PPI.

I have been watching the status of this car, it has been on and off this website for a couple of times now. With contact, if it helps at all perhaps have a closer look at the log book :)

Yes mechanically the 987.2 & 981are solid but I would have liked someone to check our the paintwork. The lockdown in Sydney makes that very difficult.

Yeap I was the highest bidder in the first auction but it didn't hit the reserve, then it was listed as a 'buy it now' and now it has been listed for auction again.

I've studied the 188 photos many many times 😉

Paintwork wise, if you get it for the right money, is there much that a detailer specialising in paint correction can't fix?

Not trying to spend your money ...

Ah good luck this time! I did purchase my 981 recently also sight-unseen due to the lockdown etc however the seller was kind enough to drop it off for an inspection at a Porsche dealership. What I meant to say is if you are unable to reach the seller directly via the platform perhaps have a closer look at the log book details… (if you haven’t already, that is 😄)

What year/model/transmission did you buy?
I contacted the seller directly 3 weeks ago and we spoke for about 1/2 an hour 🤫

Honestly, what could possibly be wrong with it, Its done 40k km's

My concern was that it had been in an accident as I can see overspray in one of the photos and the listing mentions that the quarter panel has been painted previously.

Hahaha of course! And for one minute thought I had a tip for you 😂 it is a 2014 Cayman S PDK, first P car ever and bought it also without having test driven any Porsches before - can’t say I’m disappointed!

Was it the white one with a few nice options in Melbourne?
