Amanda Here is THE car for you

Recommended Posts

I am not into a 996 at all.  And wow $28k wholesale price..  that explains the other guy selling for $32k now.  This makes me even more shy of the 996.  That guy on the forums doesn't present a pretty pic for the car either, he sounds like he can't wait to see the last of it's big butt :) :)

I want a air cooled car and I am looking at it to be somewhat of an investment.. investment I can have lots of fun in!

Maybe it's time to update the avatar?  Just sayin' :)

yeah he bought it from a wholesale mate of his as it had the IMS failure or D chunk or something along those lines requiring him to fit a whole second hand motor.  IIRC then the gearbox failed and he had to fit another one of those or something, then he found the actual market value was less than its worth so his quick cash turnover plan went up in smoke as it were, and now he wants to be done with it and pretend it never happened lol

It's all on performanceforums if you want to spend the time searching for the threads about it.  I think the car is fairly honest, but it has used up his tolerance for it.

Personally, if I had the cash I'd buy it, sell the motor and fit an LS1 and enjoy it.

SOMEONE BUY THIS CAR.

It started out at 58k. Now is 42k.

Does the Australian Porsche fraternity not know how rare and special this car is? Get rid of the CRAP shifter knob and spoiler though.

If I hadn't bought mine I would have bought this one.

Targa and love it or hate it colour.

Yes , I guess so. <1500 C3 Targa's on the planet. Even less in RHD. Values in the UK and Europe steadily rising. Faster than a Carrera 2.7 (in gear acceleration).

SOMEONE WHO WANTS A TARGA HAS TO BUY THIS CAR. Someone who's name rhymes with oliander.

I like the colour, however I'd remove the front and rear spoilers..........makes it look less busy and cleaner. The result is a svelte 911 that is extremely rare and alot faster than most would know.

42k is the bargain of this year.

Just my 2 cents.

Here is THE car for Amanda...brillant original Australian delivered red Targa!  Very cheap to run, only $1 a ride.  Spotted in Gunning today on the way home from the Canberra Run.

Seems like good value to me.

C3s are the next Carrera 2.7 IMHO.
