Would have got back to this earlier but had a flat chat day..

NIX and Jen, thanks for organising, it was a great night, my buddy who came along also loved it.

That is just an eye opener of a place.

Brian is a wealth of knowledge and certainly made the night.   What a great job he has.

Thanks for posting those shots above with me and the car, Dave, 58 years between shots........scary......

We have both had a lot of water go under the bridge, but we're still around and both in "pretty good nick" considering... :D .

It was very nice to meet you guys last night.

Did anyone catch that website where he's blogging about the 550 restoration?

Hi Orion, fantastic shots buy the way....Thanks for doing those.

Good question re the resto site.   I know he wanted a lot of viewers for it, I was going to ask the same question...I know it had his name in it but's that's all I can remember.

Yes,, I'll post a thread in the next few days & keep it updated on his progress, the least I can do for his time & opening up for us last night.

Fantastic turn out, with a tidy $500 donation from PFA members/family & friends.

Niko that is so cool seeing those pics! What a great connection to have, and amazing really to be able to "reunite" with that very car all those ... a few short years... later!

Thanks Trevor, it was a pretty good way to get introduced to the brand. PORSCHE was always a magic name for me since that day.

The photo has got me thinking, the kid on my left lived across the road from me in Moonee Ponds, and he was my mate. Peter Malone was his name and we went to the Essendon State school together.

The other kids I didn't know.

Thinking of trying to track Peter down after all these years. Even the other kids, wouldn't it be great to re do the photo now if I could find the others.....

Although the photo was on the front page of the Age back then, I'm pretty sure our names weren't mentioned....

Hmmm just a pipe dream...........maybe.....
