Mike737 Posted 22January, 2015 Report Share Posted 22January, 2015 Oh hello costco! Is that fitted as well? I wouldn't really trust them with the car, but a spare set of rims would be ok. What sizing? I assume ps3's
Coastr Posted 22January, 2015 Report Share Posted 22January, 2015 I had no idea Costco sold tyres.
BAFE Posted 22January, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 22January, 2015 Yeah Mike fitted & balanced but to be fair no alignment.. whats an alignment worth? $150? Yeah Pilot Sport PS3 on the front and PS2's on the rear.. the fronts are a bargain at Costco as they are a tyre they hold in stock. $213.98 each vs $395 each at PCB

Comment of the day. I think tyre fitter is the highest turnover, worst job in the entire automotive industry. I twitch and pace every time one of them has their hands on my car. I'm sure there are some very skilled, highly motivated an professional fitters. I just wish they would wear a pink hat or something so I could spot them. Rob Posted 23January, 2015 Report Share Posted 23January, 2015 My cars never see the inside of a tyre fitting bay. Fortunately we have a few cars and I always take the wheels off and present them at the tyre shop - damage minimised to scrapes on the rim... Wheel alignments? - take to specialist wheel aligner who does not sell tyres - hard to avoid, and the cause of some anxiety at times.
BAFE Posted 23January, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 23January, 2015 never heard of a specialist wheel aligner... though i like the concept, anyone know one in Melbourne?

firstone Posted 23January, 2015 Report Share Posted 23January, 2015 It's rare for sure but, my local tyre guy has always employed fitters that care. He also has had a wheel alignment specialist for 20 odd years. Even if I buy my tyres elsewhere I'll get him to do the wheel alignment.
