smule Posted 4July, 2013 Report Share Posted 4July, 2013 No affiliation whatsoever... but this popped up on carsales last night... an Aussie SC which looks quite tidy and at the right price to put some more money into it to get it right http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-1981/SSE-AD-2187403/?Cr=
tazzieman Posted 4July, 2013 Report Share Posted 4July, 2013 That is underpriced by at least 10k. At least. Don't hesitate if you're in the market for one.
CarreraG50 Posted 4July, 2013 Report Share Posted 4July, 2013 That is exceptional value if it is as good as stated, wish I had room........

wasserkuhl Posted 4July, 2013 Report Share Posted 4July, 2013 Has to be a typo. SSI headers + Dansk exhaust. Man that it tempting, just needs that 930 wing removed as it just doesn't look right.
Coastr Posted 5July, 2013 Report Share Posted 5July, 2013 I'm on it. Crap I fly out in 36 hours time and have a million things to do before then.

JustJames Posted 5July, 2013 Report Share Posted 5July, 2013 The car has been sold (and not to us, either). Reason for pricing: In the words of the (now previous) owner, the car had taken a "massive hit" to the rear at some stage in its life.

Reason for pricing: In the words of the (now previous) owner, the car had taken a "massive hit" to the rear at some stage in its life. That's a relief. I was worried the market for SC's had crashed. Someone picked up a lot of good gear in this car despite the crook chassis. PS this car being sold probably just saved my marriage.
SM911 Posted 5July, 2013 Report Share Posted 5July, 2013 the car had taken a "massive hit" to the rear at some stage in its life. Make sure we all keep a lookout for a shiny red SC that crabs along then!

Seems like a lot of money spent recently.

SteamWolf Posted 5July, 2013 Report Share Posted 5July, 2013 Still a good score especially if it had been repaired properly.
edgy Posted 5July, 2013 Report Share Posted 5July, 2013 Still a good score especially if it had been repaired properly. I'll agree.. a good PPI would be telling of the quality of repairs! But its not a car you'd tip lots of $$ into to try and make right... If it were me, that be a grocery getter & repairs would be of the wrecking yard gypsy type... lol

If you rang and said 'let me book it in for a PPI'-well, you're not going to get the car.
Russ Posted 5July, 2013 Report Share Posted 5July, 2013 they did mention who the mechanics were though - could've rung them and asked what they thought of the car.

Even not knowing the above, would have been worth a gamble @ $19K. If you got it and found the damage had'nt been repaired well, You would go close to getting your money back in parts. I dont think anyone got ripped in this deal, fair price for it IMO.
