Just an FYI, this dealer bought the car for 30k six months ago. Needed a gearbox rebuild, A/C and a few other things. Service records are absent and not much history available on the car. Crazy price.

Targa's were originally more expensive and rarer than their Coupe couterps.

Well I hate to tell you this pal , but they're not now! Though they might be rarer, or even more rare or rarer still.

Platinum Metallic :) same colour as my old 928

It's definitely platinum metallic - it has a slightly pink/purple hue to it and comes across more bronze than the other champagne gold colour.  Platinum shows a bigger range between light and dark on the cars.

$33500 for a 996 Cab, nice color combo.. if it's been well looked after and had IMS RMS done.. good buy

hopefully it doesnt spend much time with the roof down in the rain tho - look at the paint

And for a bit extra, half the km on the clock - this dealer keeps increasing and decreasing price of this one. Was $39k then to $43k and now back down to the $39999

And look at that interior, yes please!  http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1998/AGC-AD-17165400/?Cr=2

Can't find a Porsche you like?  Try this for $30K...

And people are worried about using AC porsches as daily drivers!

On a side note - I always see 'no joyrides'.  Has anyone ever had a buyer turn up wanting to joyride a car ?  Seems like a lot of effort to go to just to get a drive of a car with the owner sitting next to you.

Amanda just go and buy one.  You're only alive once.  The silver/red one looks the ticket, and press them for a $2000 price cut, which you can spend on IMS fix.

Once I have a permament role Coastr I will get back into one.  Apparently unemployed people shouldn't buy Porsches - I hear this at home a lot :P .

If I was ready -  I still get confused between the 996s and this tho

A buyer is never going to tell you they've turned up to joyride your car. I think you only realise this is whats just happened after they have left!

Here's the cheapest 987 I think I've ever seen $30k 189,000 on the clock so a few km. But still, pretty cheap!

And cheapest 987 update model I have ever seen at $50k - pretty sure this is the version without IMS - for anyone in the  market, this is a good buy!!  Get on it!
