ByronBayChris Posted 7January, 2014 Report Share Posted 7January, 2014 Eating out with my wife, 18yo daughter and two boys, they ladies of the family took a sudden liking to this van. I suggested it would be worth paying the value of the remaining rego.....they thought it was wonderful. Would not even consider the beautiful Type 1 Vw just a few cars away. To make it even worse, a young female waitress commented "what a great van" as she served me. Geez it's hard living in a family of zero appreciation. OZ930 Posted 7January, 2014 Report Share Posted 7January, 2014 Here is an out: In those vans, you are the first to arrive at the accident, zero frontal protection PS: "you are not alone"

Airhead Posted 7January, 2014 Report Share Posted 7January, 2014 I think you should get out of Byron Bay RIGHT NOW. And leave the van behind. You never know what's hidden under the floor.
LeeM Posted 8January, 2014 Report Share Posted 8January, 2014 I think that VW bus was stripped to bare metal on purpose to get the desired rusty effect. You'd be very surprised how good a ratty looking bus on the outside can be underneath, AND what it's worth My mate built this 54 Panel 6 months ago as a rat, yet it drives better than my 2007 Hiace and goes a LOT better too! He's been offered $40k for it very recently
Orion03 Posted 8January, 2014 Report Share Posted 8January, 2014 yes the new RAT craze. I think it's cool. And the VW has more street cred then the OP Van.
