964 C4 Coupe

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

After about 18 months of carsales and PFA watching, my ducks were in a row and I purchased my first P-Car.

I was lucky enough to snag the 964 C4 that was advertised in QLD from these boards, bought it sight unseen based on discussions with the owner and his two mechanics.

I'm overwhelmed with the seller's care of this vehicle, it's hard to believe that the car is 24 years old.

For those who missed the for sale thread, details are as follows:

 - Bilstein Dampers with Eibach Lowering Springs Car lowered to RS spec
 - Cup 2 wheels with Yokohama Advan tyres
 - Braided brake lines
 - Cup mirrors
 - Steve Wong strut brace
 - Fab Speed Max Flow Air Box Cover with BMC Filter
 - Carbon RS Heater Duct
 - Secondary Muffler Bypass (G Pipe)
 - RUF suede steering wheel

The above wrapped in an immaculate Marine Blue Metallic body with cream leather and the dark blue dash. Interior is in fantastic condition too.

My girlfriend and I flew from Melbourne to Brisbane last Friday morning and road tripped the car home to Melbourne with overnight stops in Port Macquarie and Sydney.

Car was brilliant on the way back, despite the Eibach springs, more comfortable that I imagined, the sound intoxicating when above 5k on the highway on ramps.

Previous seller has done such a great job on this vehicle, my plan is to keep up the hard work and bring her back to as fresh as possible.

The car has the treaded C4 ABS/PDAS warning light issue which I will work through and once complete, i hope to fit a new carpet set, most likely dark blue before eventually redoing all the leather trim.

The clear indicators are not to my taste but thank fully, all OEM parts were included in the sale and first job last night was to revert back to stock.

Car requires new front pads and discs to pass RWC and that is booked in at Auto Coupe Porsche specialist before I will obtain Vic Rego and switch the plates.

Some of the PFA members know me from my 10 years of activity on the Audi boards and I hope to share my 964 experiences with you all here.

Enough rambling, here are some pics!

Congrats, your perseverance has paid off, what a great car it looks to be!

I've got a huge smile on my face after reading your tale, I can only imagine how excited you must be. You may as well take a chair down to the car park, because you're going to spend a lot of time down there, just staring  :)

How do you find the driving feel compared to the Audis you have owned before?

Thanks very much for the warm welcome everyone.

I'm certainly very happy to be owning and driving my first 911.

I still need to get used to the change in driving styles from my previous cars but it's a task i am looking forward to mastering.

Looking forward to meeting you all at the SMT on the 28th.
