Update for my Riviera blue 911

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

It's been a while since i've posted on here... I know some of your frown upon modifications but hey, each to their own.
This is my passion - my individuality - my daily driver.

So here are some updates :)

* full 996.2 facelift

* GT2 body

* LED 997.2 style rear lights

* 380mm 8 pot front brakes + 356mm 6 pot rear brakes

* RWD conversion

* GT3 full carbon fibre seats

* Other carbon goodies inside

* Additional weight reduction mods

* Re-trimmed interior (black and brown)

* Flared the wide body rear quarters with +20 offset 20x10.5 running
 295 wide Pirelli P-zero's

* Front guards have also been tailored to fit 10.5" wide wheels + 40 offset.

* Cold air intake

* Completely custom built variable exhaust system (from quiet to straight pipes)

* Riviera blue paint with racing stripes (painted NOT vinyl stickers)

* Brake calipers painted to match the theme of the car

* Full sound system upgrade (still looks standard but sound is incredible)

To top it off i have had a custom hand designed 911 rear badge made to replicate the "carrera" font.
Which now says "911 Custom"

Happy viewing :)

Looks stunning mate.

Well done for doing the 'hot rod' 996, you've pulled it off nicely and the car is certainly a looker.

More pictures are encouraged, including the interior!

haha thanks guys!

The car is ridiculously loud with the exhaust open... needless to say i don't drive with it open but when you want have a little bit of fun..... it does the job! :P

I will try to get some more photos of the interior soon as well.
The brakes are also the older brakes... the new ones are much larger than the ones in the picture (same colour though)

If i can scoop a video with the new exhaust i'll post that up as well.

We’ll be meeting bright and early at The Old Road Café @ 7:30am (just north of Brooklyn), then heading north towards the Central Coast. From there we’ll be wrapping back towards Sydney on Peats Ridge Road through Wisemans Ferry, where we’ll cross the river and track down the River Rd following the Hawkesbury River back to civilisation and to our brunch destination, the Bella Vista Hotel.

Well i love the look of it, the blue is stunning.

Doesn't matter what anyone thinks Bora, plenty of hot rods around as well as backdates, forwarddates and i think you have done it well.

Saw your car on the last AH drive. Never got to chase (and over take you naturally) because we all got lost!

That colour is hot! Great looking car mate. I go back and forth with the idea of painting my wheels in this colour

I love the colour, i've always been a fan of bright wheels my self - ive been considering painting my wheels orange but i dont want it to look too much like a toy...

I normally prefer more 'understated' 911's but that colour scheme and overall look is very nice!

Well done

Your car looks the biz.

I am sure we are going to see more and more 996 "hot rods".

Good on you for not giving fek what anyone else thinks and doing what YOU love with the car.

I like it!

Thanks guys, ive actually just picked an original porsche theme and put my touches to it.

If any of you can guess the colour theme is actually from the 2007 GT3 RS.

The only thing is i cant bring my self to paint my wheel orange as well... i feel it might be overkill
