Sydney Boxster owner

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I have been reading this forum for awhile and decided to finally join up. I bought my 2002 Boxster in February this year and mostly drive it on weekends.

So far I have had the IMS bearing replaced (did that immediately), also replaced the clutch and flywheel and recently got a SCART exhaust. Went to the Porsche Advanced Driver Training at Eastern Creek earlier this year and definitely want to go back on the track soon!

This is my car the first night I picked it up:

Looking forward to any Sydney drives/meetups :)

Another Boxster and a 986 at that. Is it an "emanual or a tip"?

Congrats on the car it looks very very nice Amanda, love those wheels, looks like they came with the car, any idea of what they are and size.

I better read up on that SCART exhaust, I am trying to get one from the states at the moment but seems to be a problem.

What is it with Amandas on this forum!!!

Welcome aboard Amanda. Lovely looking example.

Great to see the NSW chapter with yet another member.

I was just thinking the same thing, two female members and both named Amanda.

Welcome Amanda,

car looks brilliant, love the Boxters I had one myself a long time ago and

mostly had the roof down even through our chilli Melbourne winters and absolutely loved it.

Thanks everyone! It was my boyfriend who took all the photos and has the website, he does photography as a side business.

It is definitely manual! The wheels did come with my car, not sure which ones they are but they are 17x7 and 17x8.5. Previous owner also installed four cameras and a DVD system.

I ordered my exhaust through BWA Auto and it took 3 months because it was custom made. Definitely worth the wait though. Forgot to post this link before of how it sounds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETIfUBABuzU&feature=plcp. It isn't too loud so I'm very happy with it.

Always drive with the roof down unless it is raining, it actually isn't too bad in cold weather because the heater and seats keep the inside of the car warm :)

Will definitely attend any Sydney drives so let me know when the next one is!

Had crossed my mind 1stepo911,

I'm sure Kerry could look into it but i think you could be on the mark,

cheers

Steve.

Let's not go there gents. Amanda is very well indeed and unfortunately did not buy the 964.

She did make a purchase, but alas, no P-Car. All the other stuff is mere coincidence.

Who knows, she may still join us on a SMT!!!

She has gone with another German brand who's name I can not speak amongst these walls!!!!!!!!!

Unless someone stole my car it's been a long while since I've been down that way. The FLAT-6 number plates are a dead giveaway.
