Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

The red one at CTS was listed at 40k Pete and sold within a week. Hadn't been started in 7years and was sold as a non running, unregistered car.

Around the same time a guy in Vic by the name of Tim listed one (white) in similar condition to yours 76 C3, it was Australian delivered and he was asking 45k. Not sure if sold or taken off the market. Tim was also talking about restoring it so not sure which way he went. Hopefully for him he restored it as it would be worth 110kplus now IMO.

Tim did sell the white car, to a guy in Sydney. Sold for 41K. Matching, sunroof delete, but needing restoration.

Thanks Roy, thats the one. Do you know the new owner or Tim?

Hi Ben, I met Tim when he was selling it, as I was interested in it at the time. It was sold to a guy in Sydney after I passed on it.

Aside from condition, interior was incorrect (was delivered with tartan interior, but since removed) and was missing a few other hard to find C3.0 bits - including the front & rear spoilers, snorkels, etc. Ironically, it still had the 5 blade fan.

I try to keep a little log on all the C.30's that I come across... :)

Amazing how many early 930s and c3.0s that lose these parts. I wonder if it is because people did mini-updates on them to make them look newer at the time.

HK car, LHD conversion but $30k for an SC Coupe!

Appears to be an honest seller with a decent knowledge. I'd be keen.

has anyone looked at it yet ?

any details on the rust mentioned in the add ?

also, appears to be a car imported into HK ...  any history there ?

looks interesting,  needing a rust fix and paint right away ....  but its only 30K   ....  what do you guys think ?

Probably right. Features like tartan trim would have been a real eyesore in the 80's and 90's as well...some may say it still is ;).

Other items like washer snorkels would have seemed like a hassle to replace - or just looked unnecessary. Then there's the cars that were tracked...

Have seen the red 81SC ex HKG car on an SMT in Adelaide recently. Runs well, no smoke and looks OK.

Paint is faded in places but for the price it is a good start for a project or just drive as is. The owner is on the Forum

And if you look into the SMT thread under Adelaide SMT thread you will see his details.

Believe Mark Poole knows the car if you want an honest opinion.

Is my car, is also advertised here for sale. Does obviously need some work but good basis for project/hot rod. Happy for any inspections or the like to investigate the car. I bought it with project in mind such as BBI Motorsport project nasty or Magnus SC HR style. Am selling due to too many other toys, time poor with business and family commitments and have another car in mind.

Looks like about a year ago...., still remember a nice Black 87 930 listing at 47 and staying for a few months. If I had the cash..., then there was the 88 930 with a G50 and refreshed engine but 964 front and 993 rear...selling for 30k...., hmmm., then there was the 35k Black on white linen 930, great condition..., I think I saw it listed for about 70K GBP pounds now :))) I am talking just a year or two max ago.

Hi all

Has this one been discussed already. Its been for sale for a while. I had a feeling ti was discussed, but wasn't sure (and couldn't find anything when I had a look)

cheers

This car was discussed a while back in this topic forum and for the life of me, I don't know why it hasn't sold!

It has been advertised for probably 12 months and while it has quite high k's and was probably priced too high at the time, it now seems like good value as long as it checks out ok ... I'm not sure if anyone on here went to look at it, but if so, maybe they can shed some more light ....

That SC has been discussed (it was highly priced when it came onto the market 12 months ago, but the market seems to be catching up). It has high kilometres on it (300k+) which used to be on the listing. I haven't heard if anyone has actually gone to have a look or talked to the owner.

Worth giving them a call if you're local. It looks honest enough.
