Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

Do you get the impression he is a jaded seller:

It is NOT a purist car because it:

Is NOT LHD (it is Factory Right-hand drive)
Is NOT Germany delivered (it is Australian delivered)
Is NOT matching numbers
Has wrong fuel tank (instead has '73 dated RSR fuel tank)
Has wrong brakes (cross-drilled ), wrong steering wheel (Nardi wood), wrong tyres and also has Retro sound stereo

Has wrong seats are wrong, and wrong motor and also available spare 3.2 motor with high butterfly MFI

Also has more than one owner

As its built after '69, it's NOT a Type 901 car so no enquiries of this nature are required thanks.

LOL

Judging by the way my 930 burns through fuel. 80litre tank....300kms of hard driving at best -  I clearly am taking no personal responsibility. Maybe Tony's right. Lets pretend its not happening

I'm doing well then! Anywhere between 19 and 23 litres per hundred for me

Sounds like a little drive in the hills in the TT …they sound like good numbers ..;)    I think have seen 28 in mine...

Now not to offend those savng the Earth, but Petrol is a rite of passage for a man

And its better than the 45 webbers on the old escorts i used to run

So mayeb theres a new theme for a thread here , if you had your last 250 litres of fuel , would you drive to the shops gingerly extend the journey or ring the nuts out of what ever car you have seeking the imminent red line and rev limiter. ;)

PS  I RUN ON LEAD when Im not driving

How soon will peak oil render a/c Porkers static display units.  Whole nuther thread.  Can we get up really early and plot 'worth' vs Singapore crude spot price and extrapolate potential 'exit' (for sale) date, allowing max ROI?

Or just frickin drive 'em?

not peak oil again!   And you guys don't like bubble talk!

obama just ok'd arctic drilling.  Hydrocarbons as far as the eye can see into the future.  Fill 'er up, boys, the fun isn't going to stop anytime any of our rear ends are pointing at the ground.

so, yes, stop worrying and fricken drive em.

What's a set of these actually worth?

http://pcv.com.au/PorscheClubs/pc_victoria/pc_main.nsf/web/A15B6E4649663CE2C1257EB200326DEF#pagetop

I missed a set of genuine 16x7 &16x9 with tyres for $3400 a little while back - they sold very quickly at that.

Thoughts on 15's?

They appear to be off a targa race car. Value depends upon condition ; I'd want them inspected before parting with that money. But that's just me.

Assuming the ride high is low, my personal preference is for 15 inch wheels. I reckon they look great on the impact bumper cars, weigh less and provide a more acceleration friendly  drive ratio(s). But I am also one of those guys who reckon 17inch wheels do not suit the impact bumper cars. Purely matter of taste.

And a interesting sale I must say.  Apart from the price for a well used set of wheels , I think they are off a 88 3.2 CS which apparently was sold.  Off to the UK i suspect?. Leaves one 3.2 CS left in Victoria and I think 2 or 3 in Australia.

That was one CS which was used the way Porsche intended. Owner certainly didn't use it to look at on weekends.

Very low volume car the 3.2 CS. Wonder what it sold for?

if someone is brain dead enough to pay that much then I guess it is 'worth' that much.. To them :P

I own 7 cars of which 5 are "interesting". The notion of selling them all to buy a 964 (value being similar) seems kind of ludicrous to me. You'd possibly agree, as you also have too many cars ;)
