Orion03 Posted 11April, 2014 Report Share Posted 11April, 2014 So my 997c2 is rather quiet and refined.... Too Quiet ..... So, standing on the edge of a precipice of modifications, what do you guys reckon will give my 997 a nicer sound?

cyberpunky Posted 13April, 2014 Report Share Posted 13April, 2014 Akrapovic do sound the business but not made for my car. I use a fabspeed and love the sound and the finish is first class too. Won't go wrong with either
Hounddub Posted 13April, 2014 Report Share Posted 13April, 2014 Orion, just looking through their website and Im not sure they still make the 997.1 exhaust any more.
JustJames Posted 13April, 2014 Report Share Posted 13April, 2014 Yep - my listing from Akrapovic doesn't show anything for 997.1.Just to throw another brand into the mix, there are also exhausts by Dansk (better known for their exhausts for air cooled cars) which are suitable for the 997. Tit Posted 14April, 2014 Report Share Posted 14April, 2014 I know of someone who dropped something like $12k on an akra for his 1M and it wasn't even the whole system! I could only imagine what an akra with "Porsche tax" would cost... buy once cry once!

They seem very cheap? Are such available in Australia? Not looking for performance gains but only a nicer note ...
Merv Posted 22July, 2014 Report Share Posted 22July, 2014 I gather that these are a polished version of the so called 'Gundo hack' process, that can easily be done locally by a competent exhaust shop. Any one done this?
