Literally neck snapping acceleration and easily faster than a twin turbo 911. Very clean external appearance with only twin rear pipes to hint about what's under the hood. I wish I hadnt sold it, as it was the silliest thing I've ever driven. Sideways more often than straight, and it hosed quite a few cars pretty easliy. I do think though that it is vital to keep driving these cars, even one solid burst per week http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_300SEL_6.3 The engine is such a wicked lump. A very cool classic, and your neighbour won't have one!6.3 is a gun engine! Very complex and expensive to maintain. Faster than a GTHO phase 3 for a fraction (now) of the cost. Air suspension can be tricky too, but rest is pretty common with a W108 and not too bad to run at all 0-100 6.3 and 1/4 mile 14.6Also "Special build 300 SEL AMG 6.8 litre road race cars6.8 litre engine fitted (315 kW/428 hp and torque to 610 nm/450 lb-ft), the 300 SEL AMG could reach 100 km/h in only 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 265 km/h."
