Date: April 28th or 29th. (TBC) The brief will be: - Drive from Sydney south - Home brewed by Jeff coffee stop - drive some of Greg’s @GC9911 routes (they are always good) - Lunch stop Not necessarily in that order, but let’s dicusss and firm up! Ok, suggest the option 3, can be with or without the Tallowa dam leg depending on time constraints. Sydney guys can get a run through Royal National Park on the way to meet at Kiama Blowhole? Then the good fun.

jakroo Posted 13March, 2018 Report Share Posted 13March, 2018 I'm a definite may be. May be away on some new vocational training. It's also my wedding anniversary weekend, so that right there is a possibile maybe for a partial re-enactment (if you get my drift ?) Having said that, a good drive will most likely be the best action I'll get .

itsujack Posted 13March, 2018 Report Share Posted 13March, 2018 Sunday suits me. Any thoughts on departure time from Sydney and arrival in Bowral? Is it the plan to Breakfast in Bowral? Depending on timing I wouldn't mind taking this route down leaving Sydney 6am, but maybe then breakfast Kiama, then some extra detours on the way to Bowral/Centennial for lunch? I'm easy though, just show me lots of empty road and some decent food https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Sydney,+New+South+Wales/-34.1816775,151.0227999/Bowral+NSW+2576/@-34.2810958,150.5952133,10.06z/data=!4m30!4m29!1m10!1m1!1s0x6b129838f39a743f:0x3017d681632a850!2m2!1d151.2092955!2d-33.8688197!3m4!1m2!1d151.0694049!2d-34.0858287!3s0x6b12c6bc6a1df40b:0x35f3f48e52684419!1m10!3m4!1m2!1d150.9726361!2d-34.2572813!3s0x6b12de15f2f9eb4d:0xadcf32d480fc9277!3m4!1m2!1d150.6785988!2d-34.571961!3s0x6b13735690daace9:0x130609b474980420!1m5!1m1!1s0x6b13a298402fbfcf:0x50609b490442490!2m2!1d150.418056!2d-34.479167!3e0
D2000 Posted 13March, 2018 Report Share Posted 13March, 2018 I’d love to do it but am a definite maybe as I might not be given a leave pass. Also, don’t want to spoil planning but it might affect traffic - this appears to be the last day of the school holidays.

Tips Posted 15March, 2018 Report Share Posted 15March, 2018 Based on the current responses let’s call it Sunday @edgy so we can lock it away a time, route, lunch spot and the bothersome incidentals like sort family etc around it ?. Booked in for new brakes next week and based on the routes suggested with all those twisties and short straights I’ll need them?
edgy Posted 16March, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 16March, 2018 I am also happy with the Sunday! I've put that date in the subject title now. So we need to lock down an itinerary guys I am thinking we find a meeting spot in the south, hit the RNP, then meet somewhere like mittagong/bowral and hook up with Jeff & Greg and go from there? Couple of considerations, I believe that will be a double demerit weekend (not that it worries me as I always drive slow). If Bowral is a popular starting spot I can look at a loop from Bowral to the coast then Sydney guys can head back up that way OR Bowral back to Bowral so Sydney guys can go straight back up the Hume/M5. Preferences?????? Edgy, lunch? we will need to book somewhere, there is a really good itialian in Bowral, Onesta Cuccina, @MFX may comment as a local or Centennial Vineyard? Tips Posted 16March, 2018 Report Share Posted 16March, 2018 Mmmm double demerits ? my Speedo has a problem of just creeping over the speed limit when I’m not watching on SMT’s. Usually on corners not such a problem on straights ? I think my car just gets caught up in the moment....
red clubbie Posted 16March, 2018 Report Share Posted 16March, 2018 We could meet up at Uncle Leos Truck stop. It's at the Crossroads and just off the M7. Cheers, Geoff.
MFX Posted 26March, 2018 Report Share Posted 26March, 2018 As far as meeting up, I plan on heading to @Gavin (CliffToCoast)'s place and borrowing a car that morning and we can probably meet up at the start of the National Park. There is a Carpark at Loftus oval which could be a good spot to meet up. https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Loftus+Oval/@-34.0519205,151.0488984,668m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x6b12c0d80f526c65:0xc078a48a141a4074!8m2!3d-34.0519205!4d151.0510871 That would be a good start but if others groups want to meet up elsewhere before that would be good too. I am open to suggestions from there. It would be nice to have a nice lunch up there somewhere. Onesta is nice, but it is in the centre of town and parking will be an issue. Centennial Vineyards is a nice spot with plenty of parking for a sit down meal. http://www.centennialrestaurant.com.au/ There is also Briars, which is more of a pub meal, with plenty of parking http://www.briars.com.au/pages/home.php As for the rest of the route, I am happy to leave that up to @GC9911 or @itsujack or others. I just checked and that is not a double points weekend so we are good there. http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/safety-rules/demerits-offences/demerit-points/double-demerits.html

I'm easy on the lunch thing mate, I can do Michelin starred lunch if you want, or a dirty maggot bag from the servo... But I reckon something casual and sociable would be good, you know sit around and trade war stories? But definitely nothing too "stiff", we are in the company of outlaws remember!
