Best Air cooled specialist for Vic?

Hi all,

I was hoping to see if anyone had solid referrals for a specialist Porsche workshop in Victoria, ideally in the south east. The car being worked on right now being a '74 2.7 MFI.
Any recommendations of where you've personally been impressed by both the skill and customer service would be much appreciated.
eg Peter Hardt is awesome for 356, but he only works on 356s, SouthernBM for the BMWs.... geez there's no one else I know. Ok, while I'm at it, a classic Fiat restoration shop would be a godsend too.

I have been going to Stuart at Nine Auto since I bought my 84 Carrera 4 1/2 years ago and cannot fault. There are quite a few independents in the SE but haven't had reason to go anywhere else so can't comment on the other workshops.

In the same area around where southern BM is are  Nineauto & Cascone.

There’s a guy in sth melb a few on the forum goto but can’t recall his name....

Motion Automotive or Auto Coupe are the ones for your mfi car. Both factory trained ex Hamilton’s mechanics

another 1 for Nick Cascone here too. He is currently re-building my 3.2 - taking it to a 3.4 plus other (ie. PMO, JE Pistons, GE60 cam etc) and he's been excellent at keeping me posted on progress and the quality of his work so far has been top shelf.

Stephen Harrison at RRR. He rebuilt the 356 and it runs beautifully. He also did up the 3.2 and I could not be more pleased!

Another vote for Toby at classic modern Porsche in Hallam. He rebuilt my engine on my 77 and has maintained the car for the last 5 years, always honest and great service

In the end, I’m a big fan of all of these guys.  Have have great experiences with most of them and the others I know by reputation.  You won’t go wrong wherever you end up.
