DS911 Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 There is no doubt that silver really does show off the curves of these cars. As a comparison here is another 964 club car on the market. http://www.pcv.com.au/PorscheClubs/pc_victoria/pc_main.nsf/web/3637CEE84D26A789C1257C5C007B8C39#pagetop As a club car what's the difference given this is road registered? Does it impact the value? Sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm not exactly sure how a club car is different to a non club car.

Sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm not exactly sure how a club car is different to a non club car. Club cars will most likely have performance enhancements which may have an adverse impact on normal road use experience, like roll cages, racing seats, firm suspension etc These cars normally have a hard life...with the occasional off...but equally they may have been rebuilt / resprayed. Thanks for the info. What is the general consensus on this car? http://www.carsales....048115/?sdmvc=1 There's been a lot of talk about how hard C2's are to get. This one will surely get a fair bit of interest.
Peter M Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 If I had $69k I'd be looking at it! Wouldn't it look great with some black painted Cup1's and removing the last of the stickers! Comes back to condition in the end. If it checks out OK and it's a hoot to drive, how could you resist? Having the cage wouldn't be too bad either, it's not as though the back seats are useable anyway.... Here is another: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1989/SSE-AD-3032733/?Cr=6&sdmvc=1I think this was advertise for a while last year? tscott Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 Shame it's no longer available, big front engine, big rubber on the rear, now that's a real porsche http://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/lot/K03C65IY6VBVT943/#.VDOjhvmSx8E (sorry, that's actually from a *really* old auction, I can never figure out how to use the shannons site)
DS911 Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 I saw that white one Peter. I did enquire about the silver car. Does anyone here know anything about it? Car is currently in Adelaide, owner is overseas.

Peter M Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 Gawd, that was quick!Very nice '94 993 Tip with 131,000km in white and red wine (?) interior gone in a few days at probably close to the asking $65k!http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1994/SSE-AD-3041264/?Cr=34&sdmvc=1I guess the inevitable flow on effect from the steadily escalating manual car prices.... Simonoz Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 It is heading to WA. Friend of mine grabbed it. Quick and the dead as always these days. He has been looking for ages, two years or so. Car has a very good history, and apart from some faded carpets, is as clean as a whistle. He's delighted. I'm relieved. Peace at last. hugh Posted 8October, 2014 Report Share Posted 8October, 2014 Thanks for the info. Looks like a pretty well sorted car and well priced on the face of it. If your after a 964 hot rod it would be worth a look for sure. Agree with comments above, del stickers fo shizzle. DS911 Posted 8October, 2014 Report Share Posted 8October, 2014 Thanks Hugh. There's something I like about the Martini stripes. The others can go but it would be a long thought process before peeling off the stripes! I guess you'd have to see it in the flesh.. LeeM Posted 8October, 2014 Report Share Posted 8October, 2014 I'd leave the stripes on. Nice car and a decent price DS911
DJM Posted 8October, 2014 Report Share Posted 8October, 2014 Get rid of all the stickers. Drivers seat would drive you mad on the road so that would have to go as well. Other than that, looks the goods and priced ok I suppose (the red 964 track car on PCV is $10k more but has been on market forever - very tidy car though from what I saw at sandown recently)

hugh Posted 11October, 2014 Report Share Posted 11October, 2014 ^^^ isn't it pretty........... As much as I love viper green one on the market (except the seats, steering wheel & air con addition) this one looks like a pretty good contender for comparison. The blue is nice though. I'm running out of money for a 901.................fast.
