FS EOI 911SC 1981 Guards Red Coupe

Recommended Posts

Available for sale 1981 Guards Red 911 SC, sunroof coupe.

Key features:

  • US car originally, converted, looks to be well done with bumper rubbers, door cards etc all done.
  • 3.0L SC Motor, full exhaust headers with twin pipe outlet, new engine/gearbox mounts, minimal oil leaks, runs well, pulls hard and sounds great!  Definitely not US spec compression but not sure exactly what has been done.
  • 915 5spd, new shift linkage bushes
  • Car has been lowered, stiff torsions bars etc (not sure what size) handles well
  • Black Interior, Leather Seats
  • 16" x 6 & 7" Fuchs tyres good
  • Turbo Rear Spoiler (looks to be oem, not sure)

Car presents okay, paint is faded on roof and couple of panels and a few small rust bubbles coming through, nothing sinister that I am aware, sign of bog repair just above frunk.

Is fun to drive now and slowly improve paint etc while enjoying or great basis for project without being concerned of losing high investment value of Aust. delivered car.

Currently on SA Historic Club Rego, cheap rego, insurance etc but can be converted to full SA rego without any problem.

I was going to modify but have just been offered another vehicle ready to go, would love to keep but too many cars, boats, bikes and only so much space.

For sale via EOI around the $30k mark.

Inspection available in Adelaide.

Will initially offer on PFA only.

Have full size photos can email along with any other detail.

Yep, saw it on Sunday.  I think the owner has described it very accurately.  The twin exhaust sounds good.  When he took off from the lights it didn't appear to blow any smoke.  It goes pretty good.

It would be a brilliant starter for a hotrod.

Hi guys,

I think it's now time for me to chime in here and say Anthony and I have come to an agreement, and this red beauty will be transferring to my hands shortly.

This is a life-long dream for me, and as some friends of mine can testify, somewhat of an obsession. :)

As others have alluded to, the car is a great basis for a project and in the long term that's exactly my plan.  However, I do hope to drive her around a bit and get a feel for the car before making any substantial mods.

Cheers,

Daniel

I don't want to say too much at this stage, but yes, I moved quickly and I had been looking for some time.

I would like to drive it back to Melbourne, however it is a long journey and I need to get a few things checked first (it pays to be careful!)

Once I get everything sorted out, I will try and post a bit more ;)
