Coastr Posted 11June, 2014 Report Share Posted 11June, 2014 So, Found this for sale on Car-sales and it caught my attention as I'm always looking for other "Aussie Delivered" cars to compare mine to.... http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-1983/SSE-AD-2829005/?Cr=20&sdmvc=1 Are the Aussie delivered SC's at this price point yet? I thought maybe the Carrera's might be close but not the SC's..... If the rise in prices stick it's become more expensive not to have a porsche than it is to buy, run and insure one. The price rise in 3.2s in the USA in the last 18 months has been ridiculous. Same in the UK. Depressing to watch from the sideline.

hugh Posted 11June, 2014 Report Share Posted 11June, 2014 And.this one again at CTS. Price guess? $120???http://www.classicthrottleshop.com/car30.html I'm guessing they will list it higher than that, add another 30k+ CTS tax. That car + colour = $$$
Uncle Posted 11June, 2014 Report Share Posted 11June, 2014 I see you're familiar with the CTS business plan Hugh. hugh
MaxzmusSC Posted 11June, 2014 Report Share Posted 11June, 2014 Wow the wife and I walked past the two cars over the weekend and I stood there for ages looking at the body work. I was wondering why they weren't on the website till now. Peter I totally agree with your note on 'condition'…….so very true. And you certainly know it when you see a car with the right condition that's for sure.

D-banger Posted 11June, 2014 Report Share Posted 11June, 2014 That's eye watering money. It's say concourse condition, but I would much prefer a reasonable S for that sort of money. This is for sale, and it is interesting. So it fits this threadhttp://carsales.mobi/cars/details/?R=AGC-AD-16029259&silo=Stock&vertical=Car&WT.seg_4=AutoAlert;PCAA&sdmvc=

World's gone mad...! $175,000 for a T? Mind you, it does have the desirable non-matching engine feature. Makes the 993RSCS with the same dealer look cheap at $235,000. SimonR Posted 11June, 2014 Report Share Posted 11June, 2014 Speedo's in miles ; UK or Hong Kong car? UK I think from memory ... Owner sent me a bunch more pics and a video. He has a baby on the way and the toy's gotta go. Looked too rough for me at $35k ... Maybe good project car at $29k depending on what you could do yourself. juzmister Posted 11June, 2014 Report Share Posted 11June, 2014 I know it's a cab/auto and probably not very collectible, but I do like the car! http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/_/SSE-AD-2744905 has anyone had a look?
OZ930 Posted 11June, 2014 Report Share Posted 11June, 2014 That is exactly the car I need. Might be time to drop the price a little on the Gemballa. Edit. That is exactly the car I need and a less than 40k price. I would have thought that one of the existing Boxter drivers would have upgraded to your Gemballa. 76 C3.0 Posted 12June, 2014 Report Share Posted 12June, 2014 I almost did. I was in Healesville the day he posted the ad. Unfortunately I couldn't get to view the car and do the touristy thing at the same time.
tazzieman Posted 12June, 2014 Report Share Posted 12June, 2014 Did anyone go and inspect this car? http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/healesville/cars-vans-utes/1979-porsche-911-coupe/1045777993 Yankee converted?

Simonoz Posted 12June, 2014 Report Share Posted 12June, 2014 No the one at RSR sold to an overseas buyer. The current one for sale is dearer but is a much better example. If you need to know more just PM me. Rgds
Porshie Posted 12June, 2014 Report Share Posted 12June, 2014 Speedo's in miles ; UK or Hong Kong car? Had a look at the Car and it is a uk import. it looks good from far but far from nice. That's a very good deal for a machine that makes the early 911s suspension look like a tractor's Of course , you have to factor in a fuel bill... Peter M Posted 12June, 2014 Report Share Posted 12June, 2014 Those who want a 964 C2 manual please form an orderly queue here: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1990/SSE-AD-2854720/?Cr=7&sdmvc=1 Looks the real deal, 190,000k and $60,000 and must be sold by end of June. Mike D'Silva Posted 12June, 2014 Report Share Posted 12June, 2014 Im surprised there haven't been a barage of notes here... everyone must be doing their sums, and research on the car. Have to admit, my partner caught me looking at it on the laptop (not porn for once) and she just remarked, how cool it looked. Having said that, is there anyone in perth, who can tell the difference between a dodgy half cut and shut car and a nice original one, able to have a look at it for me in person? Happy to repay the favour in beer, money or just good old plain mateship

If I had $60k, I'd be calling the owner tonight and arranging a PPI. Just sayin....
