BlitzKonig Posted 22September, 2015 Report Share Posted 22September, 2015 Oh I'll contest the 'time isn't that big of an issue' comment! I've owned mine for 3 years and not driven it further than 300 metres! A mentally taxing thing to do this resto shit. Yep. I take my hat off to you. By the time I finished restoring the e30, I forgot what it felt like to drive. Made it very difficult to judge whether my time resulted in something decent haha LeeM
LeeM Posted 22September, 2015 Report Share Posted 22September, 2015 Thanks for the offer of your auction house mate, but ill not be requiring that........yet! I've forgotten the word 'patience' in the past year, so it'd better be bloody good when its finished thats for sure!

BlitzKonig Posted 22September, 2015 Report Share Posted 22September, 2015 (edited) Link to E30?https://www.flickr.com/photos/ferdinandr/albums/72157651443855145No longer in my possession Cal. Did the run-in on the motor and then sold it. Owned by a young (P plater) enthusiast that drives it daily, so its being put to use. Was a good (cheap) learning exercise, unlike our 911s haha Edited 22September, 2015 by BlitzKonig

James P Posted 23September, 2015 Report Share Posted 23September, 2015 (edited) lucky engine is in the back..nearly 400,000kms and driven like a ute for most of its life Had a very good look at it today it has a lot of damage! The A pillars are kinked, rust around the lower edge of the windscreen frameThe floor is crumpled back about 70mm around where your feet would sitThe doors have indented the rear quarter panels & are very hard to openThe engine is leaking a lot of oil & has a large pool of oil on the floor The gear box is damaged & will not shift gears, stuck in gear, the clutch pedal is on the floorLooks like the front of the car has moved back & down in the crashA lot of things in the car are worn out after 400,000kmsAlso can't see any compliance plates Edited 23September, 2015 by James P
Beaker Posted 23September, 2015 Report Share Posted 23September, 2015 Nice 964 c2 cab in Perth $52,500http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1989/SSE-AD-3608866/?Cr=0 This may be a really dumb question from a 928 owner, but were the 911 wipers ever set up correctly for RHD installs on Australian delivered cars? The one quoted looks to me to be a LHD install in that they sweep right to left whereas I see others say this 996 which has what I would regard as RHD left to right sweep. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-2004/SSE-AD-2809101/?Cr=
James P Posted 23September, 2015 Report Share Posted 23September, 2015 (edited) The general rule of thumb on pre 996 is RHD delivered cars is the wiper tips should be pointing to the right side of the car at rest & should sweep starting from right to left I think thats correct unless I'm wrong?
