Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

This has dropped to $30k now -  listing mentions this - so sounds like she's a bit rough and needs TLC!

Had a look at it yesterday and yeah this car needs some real TLC.   NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED

It is aus delivered, serviced mainly at trevet.

it seem as if its had a hit at the back. Its had bumpers and deck lid (bad job using filler on deck lid) repainted in the wrong shade of grey, paint is chipping off in engine bay, drivers door paint chipped off needs repaint, interior not at its best no rear seats or seat belts, dealer says car hasn't been driven in 5 or so years, they have a new soft top and that the car would need a repaint and new upholstery   That's just the out side i didn't start or take it for a test drive. Its sad to see a 964 in this condition.

It did have new tires though :)

Thanks TE911 - that explains a lot. And really, it's probably worth less than the asking price if that much is wrong with it.

It just shows that theres always a reason why these types of cars don't sell and they aren't as cheap as they seem to be. Photos make a turd look like a polished pearl!

Play fair , comrade.

Description tells the full story:

- Last but not least a top end rebuild in 2009 to replace a broken piston ring.

Autohaus has a good reputation. Don't sling mud without genuine cause.

How was driven to arrive broken such low kms?

No question Autohouses fixed good.

As a 1997 porsche 993 transplanted into a 996 body and running a v6 engine from a boxster, it is a pretty rare car. I think I will buy it and being so rare can probably buy a Carrera 3.2, 964 & 993 with the proceeds.

V6 Boxster powered Carrera!!!! That's it - I'm ringing right NOW to offer DOUBLE his asking price.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this $77.5k ex on-roads white on tan 964 C2 manual with only 68k on the clock lasted only one day on the market.
