Porsche flew those around the world and isn’t driving them on track?  That’s not very Porsche like!

I think they're locally owned. I was told one of them (Blaupunkt) 'might' be at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival in a coupla weeks, though a friend close to the organisers has mentioned there could be the Leyton House car here too. We shall see.

Blaupunkt is (was recently listed for sale so might not be now) Australian owned. This one was raced previous years.

Hadn't seen the other car previously...

Dutton's had it for sale some time back .

Leyton House car apparently owned by the same guy who owns the Charles Ivey LeMans 930 also running at PI - we've nicknamed him "the Spin Doctor" after his efforts in the 930 on Friday and Saturday....

Found out today both had intended to race, but both had mechanicals.

That was a bit disappointing, I would have absolutely loved to hear them......

2 cars with significant histories on the dummy grid at PI Historics over the weekend.

930 LeMans car, only RHD car of a batch of 6 built for the 1983 race.  Built RHD as Charles Ivey Racing was UK based.  1st in class, 11th outright.  Car now Melb based through Duttons Motorsport team

73 RS was owned and raced by Alan Hamilton for many years, upgraded to RSR specs with 2.8 RSR engine.  Car now Tassie based, with current owner having had the car for the last 20 years, recent engine rebuild by owner.  Driven regularly as a road car, purely for enjoyment, as it should be 🙂
