  1. I have decided to sell my original Fuchs wheels. These rare wheels were only available as an option on the 1986 turbo. These are incredibly light and strong forged wheels and genuine with 951 part number, etc. As only 110 86 turbos came into Australia and only a few were optioned with these fuchs, it is rare for them to come onto the market. They were never an option on any other model. I planed on putting them back on but I have upgraded to larger brakes and so had to go to 17inch wheels. Although they look good in picture, they would benefit from a proper refurbishment. They are 16 x 7j and 16 x 8j with an ET of 23.3mm. Will fit similar era 911 and allow for brake upgrades. Price is negotiable but asking $5500
  2. Had a little bit of work done over last 2 years. Engine fully rebuilt, new custom intrax suspension, big reds, modified fabspeed 3" exhaust, new turbo, and new 17" genuine fuchs
  3. I got a 200 amp alt that was upgraded factory unit off Ebay, so no issues with fitment and enough spare juice to run stereo and car at same time :)
  4. Cheers Got lucky as original plan was just to do head gasket etc and turbo but decided to pull motor and found one of main bearings was on its last legs. Obviously budget went up but want it done right and we have gone all out on rebuild.
  5. Have been getting a bit of work done. Custom Intrax suspension with ARC and Titan Black finish Also added Big Reds New Rotors too Also have had engine rebuilt. Block sent to LN engineering and bores Nicasil coated. New Vulcan cut HG. Raceware Studs. Carrillo Pistons and rods. M44 Performance Superwashers, locking head down to 90ft/lbs Titanium Valve retainers
  6. Yes it is but guess who designed it for Audi??? Porsche I think saying the car was going to be a VW is slightly incorrect as it was always a joint venture like the 914, and so was planned to be shared across both brands, not just VW only
  7. The M44.52 I believe started in 88 cars although some early 88s may still have had M44.51(which is basically a downgraded M44.50). So its fair to assume that the 51still registered M44.50 should all be 86 turbo's and the 41 M44.52 are 88 or later. My car was originally sold in January or February of 87(and rego'd as an 87) but it is definitely from the initial batch of 86 turbo's(110 in total). I have also read that the initial batch of 110 86 turbo's were sold over 2 years. Porsche Australia say they have no info on the break down of the cars of that era, so I can't get confirmation that I may have only non sunroof 86 turbo, but considering it also has script interior and sports seats, its definitely a very rare combo, if not unique. Thanks for sharing the rego info as it shows just how rare our cars are now.
  8. yeah because watching your speedo constantly and the ever changing speed zones means you can totally focus on driving....oh wait The Vic Gov used to have ads saying that since they introduced speed cameras, the road toll had lowered but failed to mention that cars had also got ABS, multiple air bags and various other safety items at the same time, but it was definitely the cameras, not the cars 😉
  9. Not sure you needed to collect all that sweat in a bucket 😂🤣
  10. you have no idea how much that bugs me 🤣 I have been thinking of hand colouring them with a texta. Paintings out as might make them too hard to get off when needed
  11. yeah they must have serious issues with quality control. Did you contact them or vendor? Pelican are trying to get me a new sticker, but that's nothing compared to that stuff up on yours. Quality of the brace and fitment on mine is excellent, as would yours be, I'm sure, if you actually got correct parts. RD didn't even reply to my email though. Very disappointing to see that
  12. I did the refurb on dash not long after getting car so been fine for nearly 10 years. Ive had cluster out but didn't notice any issues but wasn't really looking for it TBH. 'I'm using the LR high flow fuel pump and had no issues with a 3 bar FPR. Not sure adjustable is needed. I use 80# injectors. Only heard good things about Charlies turbos but I am upgrading to an ultrspool at the moment. Just waiting on downpipe. I'll be changing HG to a vulcan ring HG and new raceware studs. This will allow me to run higher boost if desired without worrying about head lift as will be torquing head to 90ft lbs. I will be running lower boost normally though. Are you going to use VEMS to control boost? I have a turbosmart eboost street for mine.
  13. I'm running VEMS on mine and just relied on autotune and she purrs. Im about to add a different turbo so will be getting it dynotuned then. If you have any questions let me know as 10 years into mine now and have a bit of experience and am up on best options for most stuff. If you replace the instrument cluster globes go for Sylvania 158 globes as factory are 2w and dull, the 158 are 3.3w and make a huge difference. A lot of people go LED but I prefer the warm light of globes and so prefer just upping the wattage a little. Any more like 5w will melt the holders I'm told so these are a good option What Dual port did you go with?
  14. Took pics and sent them off about 10 minutes after I saw it. Still waiting for a response
  15. Sooo disappointing, as have wanted one of these for the longest time, and would have proudly displayed the brand, as I think its such a great product. Fitment and quality is as good as it gets, so it's a real let down they didn't care enough to represent their brand properly and dropped the quality control on something so simple as putting a sticker on straight
