I bought a little one to cart tools around near my cars when toying with them and the casters just lock up in specific directions. No Bunnings where you can put your tyre kicking skills at work? Carrera28 Posted 5December, 2016 Report Share Posted 5December, 2016 I have Kincrome tool trolleys and also vouch for their quality.I have the cheaper SCA tool cabinets as well and they are not bad, but if you can afford it I would pay the extra for Kincrome.You want to look for trolleys that have quality rollers on the drawers so they open and close smoothly and which have a soft close rather than a hard close. Lovely precision feel on the drawer rollers whenever you use them, that I expect is missing on the cheaper brands. Nice durable, thick and glossy powder-coat finish, too. Also had a Beach tool chest where I worked, still looked good and worked perfectly after 30 years... I like the Kincrome range of gear, but haven't tried their tool chests, love the blue colour This Beach one (below) looks just like my Palmera, only the Palmera is black... It's just right for my kit of tools. I bought the 5 drawer and also a matching toolbox sitting on top - had my own tools. 9r Posted 6December, 2016 Report Share Posted 6December, 2016 I went sidchrome as well (13 drawer and 7 drawer trolleys) and are pretty hard on my gear and they have stood up well. I would Suggest checking out the quality of the welds on the various brands as you will see some obvious differences, and the drawer guides (open and put some weight on them and see how much movement vertical and lateral you get and as Carrera28 mentioned then see if the drawer moves smoothly in and out with a nice soft close detent. I also prefer the trolleys rather than stacking the tool chests on top, one because the drawers were a little deeper in the trolleys I got, and with mdf on top you get a nice work bench on top Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did a fair bit of research before hand and you really want something quality, but also you really need to look at the size, shape and quantity of drawers. I don't personally want little drawers near the floor, or big drawers near the top for that matter.
