Anyone dare ask how much this is?

http://duttongarage.com/Porsche-964-RS~1624

I reckon if you offered them $300k Trev it could be yours?

Probably from the same collection as the 964 turbo above that was $400k odd.

The red RS looks just like the 964 I had that I paid $51k for in late 2013.......only 10hp less and the convenience of RHD. Buys like that are long gone now.

It was listed at $12k, LHD Orange car imported by the owner 8 years ago, who was an American by the sound of it.

It was a 2.2 with 3 cylinders down on compression, yet it didnt blow smoke and was driveable.

Needed some resto in the paint department, yet other than a couple of dings, it looked pretty good.

The sugar scoops were horrid though! A minor detail.

Saying that, it couldve had pan and/or sill rust that I never got to see.

I offered $15k, which again, I think wasn't a very nice thing to do to the eventual buyer in retrospect.

I do have my 5th Citizen watch though, so it's not all bad. I'm still a bit 'off' about missing the car, so I may just have to buy another watch (sob, sniff!)

Yeah Smule, I thought it was a scam ad when I rang 403 times, then he answered! I kinda knew what the answer was going to be whether it was still there

Amanda. From what he was telling me, he'd listed it far too cheap, yet as mentioned, he's a man of his word, and would honour the price. I woulda paid $20k if the rust was minimal on inspection (thats what my missus told me to offer anyway!)

It was definately worth a lot more than $12k

I actually thought it was an earlier model, maybe a late 60's? You wanna chime in here Michel?

Gents just to rub salt in... Rumoured to have an S MOTOR installed.

Definitely LWB with a bunch of early and  later parts hung on it

Just as well the car will sell itself.  The written section of the ad is terrible !!

tried to keep up with one of these in my 930 on the Autohaus drive. Nice car but does it really have  $70K premium over a turbo of the same year?

yes - very rare, rear wheel drive, weapons-grade

The normal 997 turbo is actually, dare I say it, a bit boring. Very fast but just too clinical (sorry!)

The Gt2 however will keep you on your toes

968CS with MO30 (suspension & brakes) and M220 (LSD)

Not a factory 2+2 but might have been complianced as a 4 seater at later date; check this if interested, as factory rear seats is option No 685 "divided rear seat" .
