(Being the Slate Grey 964 C4 coupe advertised for $92.5k) http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/_/OAG-AD-565021?WT.seg_4=AutoAlert;PCAA&sdmvc=1&utm_campaign=bau&utm_medium=email&utm_source=transact&utm_content=autoalert The ad doesn't give much away (or has been removed) - I'm assuming mint original condition?? Coastr Posted 19November, 2014 Report Share Posted 19November, 2014 Anyone posted this one already? 1988 '911 Turbo 930' - says 5 Speed so I assume G50 based on age. LHD Unreg in SA - says 78,000 kms http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/grange/cars-vans-utes/1988-porsche-911-turbo-930-with-a-5-speed-transmission/1062330961 $38,000 Who has turbo fever and wants a hot-rod?! Keen buying for the brave. (I might add - where are the front seats?)
Tit Posted 19November, 2014 Report Share Posted 19November, 2014 Are the vin and engine number scratched off?

Russ Posted 19November, 2014 Report Share Posted 19November, 2014 based on the headlight surrounds alone i'd be afraid but in comparison to what other turbos are on the market it's a good price even for a basket case
Coastr Posted 19November, 2014 Report Share Posted 19November, 2014 based on the headlight surrounds alone i'd be afraid but in comparison to what other turbos are on the market it's a good price even for a basket case There's no front seats and you're worried about the headlight surrounds! Priorities! "convertible" "2D Cabriolet" and "leaded" fuel. "Release Date: 01/11/1984" Is this a repo sale? "only needs conversion" = lol Did you get that from the VIN? When I first read the ad I thought it had to be a bitza 911 with a turbo engine.
JV911 Posted 19November, 2014 Report Share Posted 19November, 2014 based on the headlight surrounds alone i'd be afraid And the lack of a badge! Don't get me started on the bumper or side skirts...looks like it's been apart (i.e. crashed) and hurriedly put back together
tazzieman Posted 19November, 2014 Report Share Posted 19November, 2014 Did you get that from the VIN? Haven't seen any VIN , that might be revealing too much! All info from what is written in the ad. I suggest a write off from the USA that has never been registered here. Caveat be very Emptor on this cheapo!
Coastr Posted 19November, 2014 Report Share Posted 19November, 2014 yeah yeah but it's a TURBO

"only needs conversion" = lol SO much conflicting information in that ad!! Specs says it is a 84, the ad writes 88 .... this dyslexia is strong in this one! Someone get the Vin # ?? That will tell a story.... Even if it is a 930 it that condition and LHD.... its in no mans land, you'll do your balls trying to restore it and/or convert it and too exxy to wreck out. haha

ByronBayChris Posted 19November, 2014 Report Share Posted 19November, 2014 Speedo suggests UK import but I think Edgy is right that it won't last long. And door pockets are common for UK cars also (and very very early au cars). I call uk
