Proud Member Posted 22November, 2015 Report Share Posted 22November, 2015 Any thoughts on a price for a 1988 911 club sport? UK import. Looks tidy. 100k miles. RHD I'm buying not selling! Mike likes that (so do I). Oh for edgy's garage space...That 914 is lovely! I've only seen tired neglected examples. What are they like to drive ? 1q2w3e4r Posted 22November, 2015 Report Share Posted 22November, 2015 Nice $40k mark up from a few weeks ago! Yeah agree, it was a nice car at $60k Guess he's hopeful that he can make some profit on it. It looks like a lovely car but is a bit of a bitsa to me as its a forward date you'd have to throw money at to correct. That being said there was a nice white 71E done as a 2.7 RS rep in Melb I had my eye on that sat for months and months at 58k earlier in the year. LeeM Posted 22November, 2015 Report Share Posted 22November, 2015 In all honesty, I was actually going to buy that car after a lengthy thought process and a good chat with the missus who told me to grab it, as I had a cash buyer for the 912 to cover more than the asking price. $100k is a stretch, yet as everyone knows in this day and age, someone will probably offer close to it. I'll stick to the 912 methinks......for now turboT

Dreamr Posted 22November, 2015 Report Share Posted 22November, 2015 Am I the only one who think the pricing is a tad optimistic on this one? ANF Posted 22November, 2015 Report Share Posted 22November, 2015 They go for a bit more in Europe. A few have been for sale around that price in Aus lately, I assume that they sold? I think they is what they are worth now, just a limited market for them.... http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-928-1988/SSE-AD-3705564/Similar car for a lot less..... This should do you (they still make many A/C diesels)12 cylinder 19.1 litre (!), 204 kW, 995 Nm!! Deutz, so it is still from Germany

I've only seen tired neglected examples. What are they like to drive ?911 CS will be plenty. Only 50 odd made that year in RHD and none for OZ market. If you are looking at one already in Australia maybe a bit more than plenty because I think only a couple live here. One of the local ones from Vic sold a few months back I think but have no idea what for. Very hard to gauge a price as there is no benchmark, but I would think well north of $150K

Proud Member Posted 23November, 2015 Report Share Posted 23November, 2015 Thanks for the advice about the 911 club sport. This car is in Victoria. The seller hasn't priced it yet. I'm trying not to seem too keen when I speak to him but it's hard! At $150k I'll take his hand off but I suspect it may be much more as you say. 1q2w3e4r Posted 23November, 2015 Report Share Posted 23November, 2015 They did make a lot less GT2s though, lowest production 996 with exception of the 3/RS.huge $$$ though agree!
