And one became two....I've bought another one

Recommended Posts

I've been looking for my weekender for a while. Months......over 12.

Searched through forums, well known dealers and some dodgy brothers dealers too.

Finally found my new ride on consignment to a dealer in Usa. After a bit more research and checking than my precious purchase, I gave away a fist full of dollars.

Now the wait.

It is in a warehouse in LA waiting to be floated to Australia.

Should arrive mid October where it goes straight to Don Munro (great place) to become a citizen of Australia.

Only a few things to do on it....sugar scoop delete and new seats from Phil.

Compression came back at 140 on each cylinder......so looks better in the engine department than the 993.

I will add more here on the import process and fees if people are interested.

For now, I'm using UsaToAus as the importer. They do the cleaning, storage, shipping and paperwork. They seem good so far.

very jealous - especially with the colour! All the best for a safe arrival to Aus.

Did I miss something? ......... colour?

I'm still trying to work out what type of car it is ..... is the answer hidden in the above message?

BTW ...... congrats on the new car ...

Congratulations Chris.

When did you actually seal the deal. You've managed to keep it on the down low.

BTW don't let anyone put fuel in your external oil filler :D

Thx Doug. Yes oil...petrol.....oil....petrol....must keep people away from it

I sealed it a couple of weeks ago. It has always been traded privately and has no internet history. I intend to keep it this way. I did not ask anything on early911 or typ901 as I wanted to keep it a little quiet and have no competition.
