    Cayman GT4 RS

I have 2 harnesses in mine. I just “do the tuck”. The shoulder belts tuck over the wings of the seat and the waist belts tuck over the side bolsters. The buckle pulls down through the hole in the seat and lays flat on the carpet underneath. It’s a 2 minute job to pull seat cushion up (Velcro) with one hand while feeding the buckle back up through the seat base with the other hand. The seats are essentially clear of the harness belts for road use. Non issue.

Australian production cutoff is supposedly August as they can’t comply any cars after January 1.
  5. I just trolled rennlist - there are a number of users who have access to the North American build sheets and compile the data from them. The following is for 991.2 cars. US cars: 3187 in total, 714 touring or 22.4% Canada: 393 in total, 34 touring or 8.6% Third data point is the UK with 47 tourings. Both the UK and Canada have larger populations than here (2.5x and 1.5x respectively). Europe received no 2019 tourings as production had to stop in 2018 due to emissions laws. In fact the production window for them was supposedly only 6 months, between March and August. Maximum total number of tourings that could have been built is 2500 globally due to production windows. Best estimate seems to be 1600 to 1700 cars total. Some European sources say 1200 to 1300 cars globally. Making it possibly rarer than the Speedster (and the ST for that matter). Doesn’t get us closer to a definitive answer for Australia, but does show it is a limited numbers variant globally.
  6. My old GT3 RS had racing harnesses installed. Ultimately I got used to driving the car with the feel of the belts under me.
  7. 2.0L 6 cylinder engine, disassembled aside from case, crank and rods. Case has been machined to suit 90mm pistons/cylinders. Fully reconditioned heads from a 2.7L to suit 90mm bore. No accessories, induction, clutch. See photos for what's there. Perfect to build a period correct 2.5L short stroke (90mm bore, 66mm crank) for a historic race car, 914-6 or 911. Type 901/38 engine #6405360 makes it a genuine 914-6 2.0L from 1970 (see Stuttcars below) Asking $9,500 Call 0439 006 074, open to offers close to asking price I can deliver in a crate to metro Melbourne. I can assist with freight further afield at Buyer's expense. I have a 3.0SC engine which i am building for my 914-6 instead - it's a non original car so maintaining authenticity is not important.
  8. I use to call PCSS and get a service booking in about 2 weeks notice, it had been a while and so I reached out today, it’s 2 months time first available 😂 definitely things have changed in the last 5 years
  9. Thanks. Same to you! My change point is also 31/5 with a July build. I also didn’t go Weissach because I personally prefer the look of the painted bonnet in my spec and didn’t see the value for the bits I did like. Good to have variety out there! Now my last decision will be closer to delivery and whether I get dealer to install the drivers racing harness or not. What have the majority here done? I plan on doing some track days in it, but I’m also going to drive it regularly on the street - not a daily, but still 1-2x a week at least. One car I sat in with the harness installed I found the bottom belts / buckle to be a bit annoying feeling it under thighs (when using seatbelt for road use). But I didn’t spend ages playing around to see if could improve it or not..
  10. Huge congrats. When do you have your Change Freeze Point? Mine is 31/5. I will not be going with the Weissach as the exposed carbon reminds me too much of the JDM scene (not great for someone in hiw 50s), and it adds no noticeable enhancements other than 10kg savings if I get the magnesium wheels (which I won't given the fear of curbing them later as will be letting the son use the car from time to time and curbing them may cause me to disown him). Porsche will send you an email with a link that will go straight to your order once it has been confirmed. You can also find it in MyPorsche app along with any other Porsches you may currently own if you already have the app from another car.

  12. I think that is exactly why PCA don’t share it as it creates the uncertainty which then creates all the speculation - high 2 hand values are good for business
  13. I just use to call and ask PCA - 6-7 years back they would come back to you with whatever they had, now not so much.
  14. Generally not as PCA hold this info tight to their chest to try and stop flippers and profiteering.
  15. Didn't there used to be contributors on this forum who were able to get exact delivery numbers out of Porsche Australia - particularly for GT cars? Somebody with the connections get us an accurate number pretty please!
  16. Totally agree. I was originally after a Touring for that discrete look but have in the meantime got used to the “modest” spoiler
  17. Now that the 992 wing has got so big, the 991.2 wing almost looks like a discreet spoiler. If I was in market for a 991.2 GT3 as long as it is manual I would not mind winged or touring whereas 5 years ago I really had a strong preference for the touring.
  18. Yesterday
  19. Just noticed @PhilH has sold his car, his advert noted that the taco wing was in storage. Perhaps he kept that, or the purchaser may part with it???
  20. I’ll take that cup wing off your hands if you find an OG 996.1 wing. I have no shame.
  21. I'll check as I may have a wheel, no boss though.
  22. Oh and Tubi exhaust arrived yesterday from Italy. Super quick delivery 6 business days. Restriction on file sizes is super annoying..
