Carrera 3.0 market watch

It just sold us$17k. Sounds about right in an overall soft market. 2 recent C3 engine sales - us$19k and us$17k. I'd say the premium over an SC engine is intact.

so based on a possible sale of two motors sub 20 USD ( though one was meant to have sold for 29?), where then does a c3 Oz Targa, needing partial reassembly and when done without the must restore to be seen driving it and would present as a 7-8/10, sit in this market spectrum.

is the equation parts $ + rarity + vanity % to come up with ?

any thoughts gents as currently holding one and considering releasing it, to focus on other non car pursuits,

100-110k maybe?

The only other c3 option appears to be the neat 77 coupe on carsales for 149k.

Difficult to say but gotta start somewhere. If the phone goes nuts then you know you have it wrong. I wouldn't start less than 100.. it's a c3! But sounds as though it should be less than the current one on carsales.

this looks like a really good deal at $40k usd

^^ Providing it retains the C3 engine the rest can be stripped off to make a good hot rod... if your into that

A few C3's have come back onto the market

Silverstone Porsche auction yesterday looked ok if I read it correctly. Clearance rate and prices (once 15% buyer premo added) looked decent. Nice C3 result I thought on the relatives, above a couple of Ts and slightly above a nice looking L. And seems to be closing the discount to the 2.7C. Holding the premium over the SC.
