Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

Nice 911 E…..however they painted the exterior mirror body colour ?  (or is that the reflection).  It has the bonus of a rear wiper, and the wheels look bigger than standard.

AND THOSE SEATS !!!!!!    Surely not factory standard ?

The two door pockets appear missing also.

Cracked right hand parking light ?   And pitted chrome work

RH Rear rubber strip and reflector not really aligned.

What is on the left side under the engine lid ?

Overall I would have to think it looks like a good quality driver car as the ad suggests.    An expensive driver at $170k, however cars in the states are going for more than this in USD.   Mecum did slow down a little though.

Here's a "964" Cabrio with wide body kit...  Looks suspiciously like an SC with a body kit to me.  Also, adding to "value", it's a US import with LHD to RHD conversion...

""I want to be a millionaire. Just like my dad."
"Your dad's a millionaire?"
"No. But he always wanted to be one.""

"I saw a slide with an 85 degree incline for sale the other day for $1000.
I thought , that's a bit steep."

Rubbish Joke thread. Yeah

judging by the engine it could be a targa chop earlier than an sc.  Doesn't have sc heat plumbing.

a real bitza, that's for sure.  Is definitely not a 964.

looks like it was Healy factory aswell . They are on a roll.

Yes, as Claywong mentions they sold it last year - why people use old photos raises its own questions? From memory it was then listed around the 90k mark and at that time it seemed rich. If its really sold for the 160 mark then that's astonishing.

Unless its a scam then the old photos and price make sense! :D

Does anyone know exactly what the pricing is of say an enthusiast (coupe/man) 3.2L Carrera?

That Red at CTS Sat for months at $89k.

Then the silver one sold at AH for $130k~ iirc

Now CTS is pricing their latest 3.2 for $140~k,

Do you guys really think AH made the asking price sale? And what is the current valuation of such car :S.

Silver was sold last week and got very close to asking price (Price was not $130k,but was $110k)

The other problem now (as evidenced by the white SC listed and sold last night) when a bargan comesup you have to commit sight unseen and be ready to jump.  Lots of specialist dealers are now also watching the private ads to pick up a bargain and can afford not to PPI it as they will give it a nce over before putting it on the showroom for a healthy profit

How long's a piece of rope?

'84 231hp or later lesser hp?

915 or G50 box?

Over 200,000k's or under?

Good colour or universally and unanimously agreed sh$t colour?

On market or off market?

Private sale or dealership?

Quick or slow cash buyer?

well that's a staggering amount for that.

if I want an investment, I will buy block of flats

I want to get different P car so I can drive the shit out of it.

this is great if any of you gentleman members want to sell, but crap for me when I want to buy a car to drive my sweetheart to movies and be the cool fool who overtakes 6 cars at a time.

I still maintain that all of those points above are TOTALLY irrelevant.

Just find an Impact Bumper aircooled and buy it!

it will be almost the same price no matter what the specs and even if it's a lot more or a lot less ..... buy it anyway.

Maybe just buy a Cab and weld a roof on...If you are not planning on selling then it will look the part, and if making a hot rod, it really would not matter as long as it had an engineering certificate for rego/insurance!  Surely could not cost as much as a "real" Coupe and would be just as much fun.(which is what it should be about anyway), and you would not feel guilty about driving it as hard as you wanted.
