Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

I think he thinks that just because the engine has the part number 930 XXX XXX X it must be a turbo engine. He even posts a photo of the engine case part number as "proof".

He might have also assumed that since it has 5 speeds, it must be a G50 too.

I wish my world was that simple....

Lee posted that earlier today- sold ( sight unseen) within 30 mins of the ad listed; heading to the east coast.

Likely would have been a high 30's -$40 k car in the USA - been a targa ( yanks seem to appreciate them more) and possibly intact numbers matching E someone might have got a bargain...or not

Looks to be a CS, not bad but I really do not like black all that much on these cars... the Mk1's look great in blue/s (iris particularly), white and speed yellow IMO

Unless it's totally full of rust, how could you not have got a bargain. Might have bought it myself, had I seen the ad more then 20 seconds ago. :)

Edit, sent him a text anyhow. Never know, sales fall over all the time.

I contacted him and was 15 mins too late - I reckon bargain; but sight unseen has its thrills

Was there a 996 mk1 2 to 3 months back with 130k on the clock? Possibly red? I could be getting confused with something in the UK though.

Anyone see the '66 912 on gumtree in WA last night?

I called the seller & said I was real keen & would pay the asking price. I was about the 35th to view the ad. I checked again a hour later & it was up to 90 views then the ad was pulled.

He must have decided it was too cheap.

$16,900 OBO. Original matching numbers RHD from England. landed in the late sixties.
